Overview of your Trivandrum tour
I'll take you for a tour outside Of Trivandrum city to the famous handloom weaving village of Balaramapuram. The century-old and Unique method of weaving that still prevails in India gives these products a very recognizable quality that is recognized by customers and consumers around the world. You will be surprised and eager to see how a village weaver weaves beautiful handloom fabrics. You get to know how The Sari- traditional dress worn by women in India is woven. Myself as a kid used to help my mom to make the pleats of the sari in order, then growing up had to help my sister, now helping my wife and hopefully will be doing the same for my daughter too. Then we go to the Pottery village where over a hundred families make a living out of creating beautiful pottery. The skilled hands of the potter will amuse you beyond words. . . Balaramapuram has a history that spans over 300 years and the story will be unfolded in front of you and all over this tour. Looking forward to interestingly guide you!!!
Your Trivandrum tour itinerary
- Guest will be met and greeted at the hotel. Maximum 15 kms from the city centre. Hotels/ Resorts beyond that will incur additional charges. - Our first point of explanation in front of the hotel. - After this we will start our trip to the weavers village which is 25 kms away from the city centre. - After the handloom weaving visit we proceed the pottery making unit. (30 mins) - Explaining how clay is processes and made into fine pottery. ( 30 Mins) - We return to the city - Our tour will be over after the pottery artisans visit. - You will be returned to your hotel with happy memories!!! - Please note all of my tours can be customized .
