I was born and raised in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India. Growing up near the banks of the river Ganges I know the area insight out. I have been a tour guide since 2007 and have guided people from all over the world around this area. Rishikesh calls itself the Yoga capital of the world as there are masses of ashrams and all kind of Yoga classes. The town's setting on the banks of the Ganga, surrounded by the forested hills is conducive to meditation and mind expansion. In the evening, the breeze blows down the valley, setting temple bells ringing as sadhus, pilgrims and tourists prepare for the nightly Ganga aarti ceremony. 26 mm from Rishikesh, there is a cave (Vashistha Guha) at the bank of mother Ganga. This place is specially for meditation. Haridwar is known as a the gateway of Char Dham. It is a very holy place and every year many pilgrims come here. Haridwar is the place where one of the biggest festival (in the world) - the Kumbha mela - is held.

Rishikesh Haridwar City Tour [2 days] DAY 01: 8hrs - After Breakfast from Hotel (Hotel from Haridwar or Rishikesh) drive to Vashistha cave 22 km outside from Rishikesh. It is situated near the bank of Ganga surrounded by beautiful mountains. it is a very beautiful place for nature lovers. - After the Vashistha cave, we will explore Rishikesh city and evening a Beautiful ceremony on the bank of Ganga. DAY 02: 7hrs - After breakfast, we can drive to a beautiful Kunjapuri temple in the mountain 28 km from Rishikesh, - a 1-hour drive. Day 03 : 5hrs After the temple, we can visit Haridwar. - Local temples, Shantikunj Ashram, - Chandi Devi temple by cable chair car, and evening ceremony.
