When I hopped off of a ferry boat and onto Aegina island more than 30 years ago, I would never have believed that Aegina would become my home - even though it was love at first sight. I live on Aegina with my family and many cats and dogs. Luck and chance brought me here but I couldn't have chosen a better place to live. Aegina is a beautiful island with a fascinating history, inhabited by warm, hospitable people, surrounded by glittering clear blue sea and with deliciously healthy Greek cuisine that I'll never grow tired of. I have been living on Aegina for more than 30 years and during that time I've learnt so much of the island's history, mythology, traditions and way of life. I love introducing my guests to all of the wonders that Aegina has to offer I am not a licenced guide

Your Aegina tour itinerary
You'll experience the beautiful frescoes and mosaics in the church of Saint Nektarius - which is the largest orthodox church in the Balkans while learning about rituals and religious practises. Then we'll walk up the paved path to the church of the Holy Trinity and find out why Saint Nektarius chose to restore it. You'll have the option of visiting the Byzantine town of Paliachora and the 400 year old church of Chrysoleontissa too. A lunch stop is also optional before returning to our starting point.
