When I hopped off of a ferry boat and onto Aegina island more than 30 years ago, I would never have believed that Aegina would become my home - even though it was love at first sight. I live on Aegina with my family and many cats and dogs. Luck and chance brought me here but I couldn't have chosen a better place to live. Aegina is a beautiful island with a fascinating history, inhabited by warm, hospitable people, surrounded by glittering clear blue sea and with deliciously healthy Greek cuisine that I'll never grow tired of. I have been living on Aegina for more than 30 years and during that time I've learnt so much of the island's history, mythology, traditions and way of life. I love introducing my guests to all of the wonders that Aegina has to offer I am not a licenced guide

The tour was great. Sandy is a great tour guide and meneged wonderful with our group of people with wheelchairs. People enjoyed the time in Aegina.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Sandra. She was very knowledgeable about the Island - both ancient history and more recent times. We were so pleased that she suggested we go to the art exhibition at the prison in order to get a sense of the past but also to show us how Aegina is looking forward by making an exciting exhibition venue. We had a great day. Thank you.
Sandra was so accommodating in creating a tour that let our group of three see everything we wanted to on our day on Aegina. She was always conscious of what we wanted to see and do and was adjusting the tour even as we were on it. She was very knowledgable and informative not only about the history of the island but also about life today. Hearing her stories about life on Aegina and the work she does with the islands animal sanctuary was a unexpected treat. We saw everything we had hoped for and more
We'll meet at Aegina's tiny landmark church dedicated to Saint Nicholas, who is Greece's patron saint of sailors. Our walk will take us through shaded, picturesque streets, past a local gallery, boutique shops, local olive oil supplier, antique shops and craft workshop to a historical landmark, the Tower of Markello. Discover the house of modern day Greece's first governor, Jannis Kapodistrias and learn how he made a positive impact on Aegina. Hear the fascinating story of Aegina's beautifully built stone orphanage. Wind down and relax with Mezes at the not easily found NOA taverna enjoying an amazing view of Aegina's port. Try locally grown pistachios and hear about the history of these tasty nuts.
