Aegina’s Highlights, half day trip

During our five night stay in Athens, we wanted to take a day trip out of the city to do something different. For that we booked with Sandra for a half day tour of Aegina Island. She met us at the ferry pier when we arrived from Athens and she dropped us off there at the end--it was quite easy and it was fun to take the high speed ferry. Sandra's tour was very well done. Unfortunately my wife and I were jet lagged and it was very hot outside so we ended up passing on some of the activities that Sandra had set up for us. Consequently she was able to improvise the itinerary on the spot and it all worked out. The highlights of the trip were seeing some of the artist's houses, Temple of Aphaia, and touring the back country roads. The stop for gelato was great, too. If you are looking for an adrenaline rush, this is not the tour for you. But if you are interested in exploring other aspects of Greece and her culture and taking a break from the hustle and bustle of Athens, I highly recommend it.

Visiting Athens for 5 days and decided to spend one of them on Aegina. Booked tour with Sandra for myself, husband and parents. We had a wonderful time with Sandra who was very knowledgeable having lived in Aegina for decades! She was also very personable and fun. She drove us all over the island with lots of fun stops. She seemed to know every square inch of the island including all of the stray cats! ;) Would highly recommend Sandra for anyone looking to use their precious vacation time wisely.

After two weeks in Greece, Aegina with Sandra was one of our favorite stops on our trip. We highly recommend her and would tour with her again. We only had 3.5 hours in Aegina and a list of sites we wanted to see. Not only did Sandra accommodate all these requirements, but even managed to fit in extra scenic drives, view points, tasting experiences, and historic sites. It was amazing! She also always delivered the right amount of information. All our questions got answered, and it never felt like she was saying too much or too little. She clearly is integrated very deeply into the community and knows so much about the island. She is also a great person and runs Aegina Cat Care, with support, it helps the local cats!

Sandra was great. She was flexible when we missed our first ferry to the island. She has a passion and great love for the island of Aegina which she shared throughout our tour. I have been to the island before but she provided new insights that I was not aware of. Greatly appreciated.
