I work as a guide / interpreter (museum educator) and University docent. I am teaching English / intercultural communication and international business communication) at IBA University in Darmstadt as well as French and Italian at City College, since 20 years in Frankfurt and the Rhine Main area. I would like to create for you cultural journeys in this area and show you how the Germans play the game of life. For the Historical Museum I am working as a guide and cultural mediator for Frankfurt Jewish cultural history and diverse upcoming events and exhibitions. After working 15 years for the Jewish Museum in Frankfurt. I am working as a free lancer with other arts institutions in the field of museum education and international communication for the HLMD in Darmstadt and the Historical Museum in Frankfurt and smaller museums in the area. After studying modern languages and humanities ( art and film history) in Europe (Paris, Torino and Urbino) and the US (Chicago) I worked several years for an arts foundation focused on international dialogue hosted by the biggest German global bank. Since several years I am involved in projects with several museums and international institutions located in Frankfurt and the Rhine Main region in the fields of international communication and education and special events in Frankfurt and the Rhine Main area. I am fluent in 4 languages: English, Italian, French and German of course. Besides I enjoy seeking out new restaurants and cafés, fashion stores, vintage and design stores of the beaten track and the fleamarket, food stores, farmers markets, art galleries, parks and nature. It would be my pleasure to accompany you during your stay and make you familiar with this German cosmopolitan city and its high quality of life. So modern and so romantic at heart. At the moment I am also involved in writing an educational concept / a graphic novel for the project 1700 years of Jewish life in Germany !! 321 - 2021 Cologne. It is an ongoing project against racism / antisemitism - subsidized by the German state. I am participating in the exhibition about Brian Adams / photography / HLMD Darmstadt. M.A. in American Studies and European Studies / focus on cultural and language studies: film, art history, philanthropy, linguistics, history and Jewish cultural studies. I am a mediator for arts & culture for French and Italian cultural institutions as well as the French and Italian Board of tourism and international travel agencies. Private guide/ cultural liaison and interpreter / translator for: travel and event agencies in the EU with a cultural, historical and culinary focus (tour gourmet), French and Italian Cultural Institutions and diverse museums. Furthermore I teach French and Italian at a City College. At the moment I am also accompanying the exhibition of Bryan Adams / photography. Barbara was wonderful and very fun to see Frankfurt with. We greatly enjoyed getting to meet her and learning about the city and the Jewish history of Frankfurt. She was lively and entertaining, and very friendly. We enjoyed hearing about her life as well.

This review makes sense for anyone seeking a Jewish Tour of Frankfurt. I gave Barbara a bold list of places that I wanted to see in our allotted 4-hour time slot. W/o rushing a bit--and using public transportation in 4 hours we visited 2 Jewish cemeteries, two museums, several memorials and former synagogue sites. Barbara also managed to squeeze in the Romer and showed us sites that we could never have seen by ourselves. I can go on, but you get the idea. If you are looking for a fun filled and informative sightseeing day--Barbara is your guide! She is quite the resource! Larry and Helen L.
