The image of the city of Frankfurt is defined by the contribution of the German Jews to culture, science, politics, and business. The Historical Museum and the new Jewish Museum devote themselves to the history of the Jewish communities in Frankfurt and Germany. Topics include the beginnings of the Jewish settlement in the 12th century, the struggle for social integration, and the new beginnings of Jewish communities after 1945. Basic commodities, as well as cult and art objects, depict everyday life and festivals in the synagogue and at home. Frankfurt "Judengasse" Museum / Jewish Lane reopened, the archeological excavations from 1462 and a revamped new museum can be explored, the old cemetery from 1270 can be visited, the New Jewish memorial is waiting for your discovery. Special requests can be organized: visit to the synagogue, historical research, visit of the Philantropin & other cultural highlights of Frankfurt. On demand I can offer you also a ShUm tour / the roots of German Judaism.
