Bonjour ! Welcome to France. My name is Elisabeth. I am a French teacher and an official licensed guide, mother of twins that have been guiding with passion in English and Spanish for more than 15 years in France. I was born in the Basque Country in the border between France and Spain. With a French mother and a Spanish father, I grew up with two cultures which explains why I have always been extremely interested in cultural differences. I graduated in foreign languages (Spanish and English) and was delighted to spend some time in Santa Barbara to teach French to American students. I then specialized in communication and media and worked in this field for many years. My passion for travelling and meeting new international people was so strong that I decided in my 30's to open a bed and breakfast in Paris and to go back to university to become a licensed tour guide in order to share with travelers from all over the world my passion for France and the "French art de vivre". As a professional guide, I always make sure my tours adapt to the style of the people I guide. I want you to live a unique experience by sharing with you my secret and favourite places in Provence. Provence has so much to offer: tasty food, wonderful monuments, incredible history, ancestral traditions and amazing creative people. . Overview of your Marseille tour

You're in the city for a day and you want to see the best of Marseille ? This exclusive walking tour is made for you! You will start the tour discovering the city's heart : the Vieux Port, a picturesque harbor with its traditional boats and its daily morning fish market. You will then keep on exploring the old town known as "le Panier": a vibrant multicultural district and an incredible historical place to wander around and admire the amazing artistic creativity of the area. Of course, you will see the spectacular architecture of the MUCEM, a museum dedicated to the Mediterranean and connected with a monumental fort. After lunch , we will take the bus and go to Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica to enjoy a magical 360 view on the city and take spectacular photos. We will go down walking by the Vauban district before enjoying an aperitif at the magnificent Cours Étienne d Orves ! A good way to end the day with a friendly experience and a local tradition !

What a WIN!!! We were blown away by Marseille and REALLY LOVED Elisabeth. Not only was she knowledgable, but fun and totally willing to roll with our crew of nine! We had grandparents (in their 70s), three adults and four teenagers- everyone had a blast and thought the tour was 100% worth our time. So much has changed in the area in the past few decades- don't be fooled- this place was a home run. Fun fact, there is a huge HIP HIP culture there ~ we recommend Elisabeth and will tour with her again if we have the opportunity! THANK YOU!!!!

Elisabeth was super great. We met her at our designated location and she showed us her favorite parts of Marseille. She provided a wealth of knowledge and history of Marseille which was very interesting and gave us a better understanding of Marseille’s recent past and today. She kept a nice pace and was happy to stop and allow me to take pictures of the beautiful architecture. She took us to some wonderful places that we never would have found on our own. It was a wonderful and memorable day. We highly recommend Elisbeth for a day tour of Marseille.

Elizabeth and I had several exchanges via email and she designed a day tour of Marseille in accord with our wishes, which was perfect. It was a 6 1/2 hour day which is a bit of a slog but it was worth it. This really is a tour by a local who explained the history oof the town and its ever changing culture, fascinating stories. We had lunch in a pizza place where locals go and the food was great. Elizabeth took note of our likes and gave us the tour we wanted. Thank you Elizabeth, we recommend you tour.
