Greetings from Marseille! One of the best features of my tours is the fact that I provide a driver (except for the 2-hour walking tour), a great advantage because time isn't spent looking for parking. We'll be dropped off and picked up as close to the points of interest as possible. The driver concentrates 100% on driving while I give the tour and answer your questions. Although I've lived in France for 38 years, I'm American, so you should have no difficulty understanding my English. Whether it's cultural and historic sites or simply shopping, I'll take you there! My name is Kathy. I grew up in Washington St. , spent many years in Santa Barbara and New York City and arrived in France in 1986. After having lived 20 years in Paris, I finally discovered Marseille, fell in love with the city and have been happy here ever since. I'm looking forward to touring Provence with you! Overview of your Marseille tour

We'll start with the morning market in Aix-en-Provence in the heart of the Old Town where we'll stroll through its charming, winding streets. You'll appreciate the history and architecture of this ancient town which was founded by the Romans and is now a rather chic and busy city buzzing with students and artists of all kinds. If you are Cezanne fans, you can visit his workshop and/or the hill where he painted Mont St. Victoire. We'll then drive 20 minutes north across the pretty countryside to Château La Coste, famous for its architecture, art, food and wine. Wine tasting is 8 euros per person, free, if a bottle is purchased. If you like, you can have lunch at the outdoor café. We'll have a little stroll around the grounds near the vineyards and then drive back to Marseille.

This tour was an amazing experience! We started in Aix-en-Provence, exploring the lively open-air market and touring the charming area. From there, we visited Château La Coste, where the wine tasting was excellent and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. On the way back, we stopped at Notre-Dame de la Garde, which offered breathtaking views of the entire city and coastline. Having both a driver and a guide made the day effortless, and our guide Kathy was truly awesome—knowledgeable, fun, and made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Marseille and cannot wait to do another tour with Kathy in the future!

Kathy met us at the port on time. She was very friendly, highly knowledgeable about Aix-en-Provence, through which she took us on a great walking tour. We had lunch at Château Lacoste winery. We enjoyed Kathy's company so much that we invited her to lunch with us at the winery. We also purchased many bottles of wine to ship back to the states. It was a fabulous day! We highly recommend Kathy as she is a fabulous tour guide.

We had a wonderful day. Kathy gave the exact type of tour we wanted. She and Bruno were prompt and the automobile was very clean and roomy. She explained and answered all questions we had. The walking tour was at a pace that was just right for us. From the description, I thought it all might be markets, but it wasn't, the town was presented in all its glory. We went to churches and local sites with full explanations. The winery was lovely. If we get back, I hope to spend a day there.
