One day in Provence

The Highlights of Provence was exactly what I was hoping for. Remi was the perfect tour guide. Friendly, knowledgeable, calm, and professional. He expertly struck the balance of providing information, thoughtfully answering questions all the while providing us space and time to soak up the amazing scenery and get a feel for the towns we visited. Aix en Provence was enchanting with its history, architecture, and shopping. We then drove to Cassis and had an exceptional lunch along the waterfront of the beautiful seaside village.

Rémi was very knowledgeable about the region and gave us a walking tour of Aix-en-Provence as well as the backstory of Cassis and the adjacent national park. Aux is beautiful conserving its medieval character and charm. Cassis rivals Italy’s Almalfi Coast with its charming city at the edge of the Mediterranean Sea. The views at the national park were spectacular. Remi drove us back to Marseille in his very comfortable vehicle explaining sights along the way and taking us to the Basilica Notre Dame Garde, which overlooks Marseille. Stunning views! It was a very worthwhile tour with a delightful guide in Remi.

Remi was fantastic! He was patient and accommodating with our group of 8, sharing just the right amount of history while giving us time to explore and enjoy the shops. The second part of the tour created a core memory for our family—from the seaside restaurant he reserved with magical views to the breathtaking finale at the top of the mountain. It was an unforgettable experience we’ll always treasure!

I would highly recommend a tour with Remi! He is an excellent tour guide and extremely knowledgeable! We had a fantastic tour of Aix en Provence, Cassis, and Marseille! Remi even brought us to a local winery for a tasting after I told him I was interested in bringing some wine back home with me. It was definitely a day we will remember.
