I've been lucky enough to be a tour guide in Normandy since 2007 after having studied tourism in Paris. I couldn't have imagined then how much I would value each day I live and work in this wonderful and historic region. Whether you've been reading about the sites you want to see here in Normandy and have finally managed to get the chance to come and see it for yourself, or you just want you and your family to develop a better understanding of the events that happened here, I appreciate that this is very likely a once in a lifetime occassion and I will try to make your visit an unforgettable experience for you. As a visual person I need to see something with my own eyes to try to understand it and I think many people are like this as well. Consequently I work with maps and photos to help you to understand locations and how and why things happened there. It's also great to see the difference between then and now. I only give private tours because I believe that conversations during our day together make all the difference. We can walk out on the beach as much as you want, and whenever anything isn't clear, please just ask a question, that's why I'm here! Often visitors end their day with me and say they've enjoyed learing about the history of the events, but what I find so passionate about it is that everyone has their own interests and perhaps personal stories to share. I will talk about the overall history (and for the D-Day tours this will include as well personal and local stories of people involved). Whenever I can, I'll take little side streets to show you what Normandy really looks like and how people live, and lived, out here in the country side. If you think that I might be the guide you are looking for, come on tour with me for a great journey! Officiel Licenced French Tour Guide Certified Interpretive Guide workshop in 2019 I do not have any restrictions in regard to my guiding, I can offer a full range of experiences.

This tour will show you the main sites where US soldiers landed on D-Day. We will get out on site and on the beaches (if the tide allows) and you will hear what happened there in the early hours of June 6th. I will show you the remaining bunkers and gun positions and point out specific actions that took place on those sites. We will have as well the chance to pay our respects to some of the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom today in visiting the American cemetery. This is a very unique place, very peacefull, and overlooking Omaha, the beach where Americans had the highest casualties on D-Day. I usually prefer showing the real battle sites and the cemetery and don't spend much time in musuems. However if you wish to see a museum, it'll shorten the time spent at the other sites.

Eva made our family day tour to the Normandy beaches truly unforgettable. Her passion for the history was evident in everything she shared, and her deep knowledge brought the stories of D-Day to life for the whole family! It's clear she genuinely cares about honoring the history here. We couldn't have asked for a better guide for such a meaningful day — highly recommend Eva!
Eva is a wealth of information regarding the battles of Normandy. She has a great presentation style and is patient with questions. I highly recommend her as a guide. Thanks for a great tour.
Eva was a fantastic tour guide. If we would rate her a 10-star, we could. Eva is very knowledgeable about WWIi events & provided us with a thorough history of what happened & when. She was clear & easy to understand. Our all-day tour with Eva allowed us to easily decide what we wanted to focus on our 4 remaining days in Normandy. I highly recommend Eva as your guide.
Eva is an exceptional guide. She is a wonderful story teller, clear, consice and with a depth of knowledge and perspective that engaged each one of the 6 of us. We particularly loved her chronological approach, making sure we understood the critical decision making, the impact of the weather and the terrain. We felt we were actually back on D-day as we stood on the cliffs. She took us to a delightful local restaurant for lunch...far from the masses of tourists. And her approach to Omaha Beach and the US memorial was moving and about so much more than numbers. As Americans, we came away a deep sense of gratitude for the Greatest Generation and a bit amazed at how grateful the Europeans are for our intervention.
THIS TOUR WAS AMAAZING!! Eva picked us up promptly at the train starion took us through back roads and just on an awe inspiring day!! this was the high light of our trip to paris.

I'll drive my 7-seater VW Sharan, which is air-conditioned and from 2020. The seats are very comfortable. I can take up to 4 adults plus two people in the rear seats. On the sites, we'll walk often on sand and sometimes uneven ground so make sure you wear good walking shoes.
