DDay British Battlefields Tour

This tour is tailored to give you the best overview of the involvement of the British Army in Normandy on June 6th, 1944. We will start the day at Pegasus Bridge, a vital river crossing that was capture early in the night by the men of Major John Howard. We will then visit Sword Beach, where the British 3rd Infantry Division, along with British and French Commandos landed. The afternoon will take us on Gold Beach, where the battle-harden men of the 50th Infantry landed, and site of the actions that led to the only DDay Victoria Cross being awarded. We will then stop to Arromanches and understand the amazing engineering achievement of the Artificial Harbour. We will continue to the Longues-sur-Mer Gun Battery, a powerful German position silenced by the Royal Navy. The day will conclude in the Bayeux War Cemetery, where more than 4000 British men are resting, alongside hundred allied and Germans graves.
