This tour is tailored to give you the best overview of the involvement of the Canadians in Normandy on June 6th, 1944. We will start the day on Juno Beach, at Courseulles-sur-Mer, to understand the plan and the challenges faced by the Canadians on DDay. I will give you the opportunity to visit the Juno Beach Center, the famous Canada's Second World War museum. We will continue on the afternoon on Juno Beach, in Bernières-sur-Mer, to learn about more DDay stories and see the Canada House, standing in front of the beach. Moving inland, we will stop to the Canadian Cemetery at Bény-sur-Mer, where more than 2000 Canadians killed in Normandy are buried. On the way back to Bayeux, we will stop at the Ardenne Abbey, to remember the men brutally executed by the SS, and Bretteville-L'Orgueilleuse, site of a formidable Canadian defensive action.
