Normandy is not simply the place where I work, it is home. I was born and raised in the Bessin, just a few miles from the D-Day beaches, surrounded by places where history is still very much part of everyday life. I am naturally curious, passionate about history and storytelling, and I especially love discovering the people behind the events. For me, the best stories are often found in a personal memory, an unexpected detail, or a place you might easily pass without realizing what happened there. My first passion was theatre, and I studied drama before becoming a licensed professional guide. It may seem like an unusual path, but the two worlds fit together perfectly! Guiding, to me, is about bringing a story to life. I don't want you to spend your day listening to an endless list of dates, names, and military facts. I want you to understand what happened, why it mattered, and, above all, who experienced it. After many years of guiding, this is still what I love most about my job: every group is different, every conversation is different, and there is always another story to tell. Having grown up here gives me a special connection to Normandy and particularly to the D-Day beaches. Beyond the major sites, I love sharing individual stories of soldiers and civilians, local memories, and lesser-known places that help make the events of 1944 more human and meaningful. And while D-Day is an important part of my work, Normandy has many other stories to tell. We can step into the medieval world of Bayeux, follow in the footsteps of William the Conqueror, explore Mont-Saint-Michel, discover our coastline and countryside, or simply take the time to enjoy the atmosphere of a Norman village. If you have a family connection to the region or a particular historical interest, I am always happy to research it and make it part of our experience whenever possible. My tours are private and personal, so there is no need to follow a rigid script. Ask questions, tell me what fascinates you, change the pace, stop for a photograph, or spend longer somewhere that moves you. Whether this is your first visit to Normandy or a journey with a very personal meaning, I would be delighted to welcome you and help you discover my region through its history, its people, and its stories. And if you don't find exactly what you are looking for among my suggested tours, just tell me what you have in mind! I am always happy to create a customized itinerary based on your interests, wishes and pace, so that your time in Normandy truly feels like your own experience.

Make the most of your day in Le Havre with a private journey to the American D-Day beaches, designed especially for cruise passengers. On our way to the landing area, I will introduce you to the story of D-Day: the German occupation of France, the preparation of Operation Overlord and why Normandy was chosen. Maps and historical photographs will help you visualize the events before we reach the battlefields. Born and raised in Normandy, I grew up surrounded by this history and have had the privilege of meeting hundreds of D-Day veterans. Their memories, together with the stories of local civilians, are an essential part of the way I guide. At Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery, we will connect individual stories with the places where they happened. As a shore excursion, the day will be carefully planned around your ship’s schedule, with sufficient time allowed for your return to Le Havre.
PICKUP – LE HAVRE CRUISE TERMINAL Meet directly at the cruise port before driving through the Normandy countryside towards the D-Day landing beaches. POINTE DU HOC Discover the mission of the US Rangers who scaled the cliffs on D-Day and explore the preserved battlefield, bunkers and bomb craters. OMAHA BEACH Walk on the beach and discover the challenges faced by American troops on June 6, 1944 and how they eventually broke through the German defenses. AMERICAN CEMETERY Pay tribute to over 9,000 Americans buried overlooking Omaha Beach and discover some of their personal stories. RETURN TO LE HAVRE We will leave the D-Day area with sufficient time for a comfortable return to your ship. The order and time spent at each site may be adapted to your ship’s schedule.
