We were met right off the ferry - we enjoyed walking and hearing about the history of the old town. Dmitry was local and was super engaging telling fun stories and shared his love of old doors pointing out details we would have missed.

I have been interested in history from my childhood. As I grew up, my interest turned into a hobby first, and then into a profession. I truly believe that the only way to do something well is to love it and put your heart into it. I love my country, its culture, people and history of all periods, both good and bad. I love to make connections between the old times and the present day life, because, would not you agree, that knowing the country is not just about reading a book on the history of Middle Ages? I like jokes and believe that a lot of hidden things can be seen through the humour of the country. Welcome to Estonia and its beautiful capital Tallinn! The most beautiful Old Town in northern Europe and the most successful of all former Soviet republics is waiting for you! The Old Town consists of two parts, the Lower Town and the Upper Town. After a walk in Lower Town we will head to Upper Town, going up along Short Leg Street. Here you will learn why people say that Tallinn is the town that limps. And what was the reason for discord between the two towns. Finally you will arrive in Upper Town - the town of noble knights, landlords and soldiers. Here you will discover two cathedrals, Russian Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Lutheran St Mary's Cathedral. Next to the cathedrals we'll find the castle which hosts the Parliament of Estonia and one castle towers named Tall Herman. Here you will enjoy a view of the city from one of the viewing platforms of Upper Town. After seeing Upper Town we'll go back to Lower Town along Short Leg Street and finish the walking tour on Town Hall Square.

Dimitri was very enthusiastic about Tallinn and shared many interesting facts and information about his city. We appreciated hearing about and visiting points of interest throughout our tour.
Very interactive guide- matched ours and the kids energy (12 and 14) we learned a lot and covered a lot of ground and gave us a few things to do later.
Dmitry was amazing!!! Very upbeat, intelligent, knowledgeable and what's important, very accommodating. Some in our party were not dressed properly for the coldest stay during our stay the tour was booked on. We did not complain, however, as an experienced guide, Dmitry saw that and now and then took us inside a cafe with an interesting story or decor, a church or a store. Very interesting to listen to, not at all boring and highly educated and knowledgeable. We would wholeheartedly recommend Dmitry as your tour guide in Tallinn. I worked as a guide myself for 13 years and know what makes a good one!
Dmitry gave us a wonderful, insightful tour through the Old Town, provided recommendations and answered our many questions. His knowledge of Estonia, Russia and other areas made for very interesting conversation and we’d highly recommend him as a guide.
We had a wonderful tour with Dmitry. Very interesting and he knows so much more than history. We learnd a lot about Estonina how it was and how it's today. Dmirty is highly recommended as your guide to Tallin and Estonia.
