I was born in Tallinn and I am Estonian. Since I was a little boy I loved to stroll around in the Old Town and discover exciting places. I spent half of my youth in the Soviet Union times and the other half when Estonia became independent. The history of Estonia has perhaps not been the easiest, but with some good humor you can explain even the most difficult parts. I have travelled a lot myself and it made me understand the value of my homeland even more. Sharing my knowledge of local life is my passion. With me, you would get a personal experience that you'd never get on a regular big group bus excursion. I sure do have lots of knowledge about history and architecture but my strong suit is storytelling about local life. From legends, to historical people, to the everday life of locals. I love traveling, cooking, history and I am mostly a cheerful person. For the past 15 years I have taken care of tailor made small tours in the entirety of Estonia. Every street and house has some historical story or scary legend to be told. Through the years, I have collected them to share the very best ones with you. For example, on this tour you'll find out why a church would have a mummy and how the Danish flag actually came from Toompea hill. After walking, we'll drive around the city and see the sights Tallinn is famous for! Luckily, they are almost all at the coastline to explore, so it's guaranteed that we'll enjoy refreshing sea air and views of Tallinn's bay. We will find out why as many as a hundred thousand Estonians gather once every five years.

Ivo was amazing. We had 9 ports and he made Tallin the best. He really took the time to help us understand the trials of his world. Be sure to ask about his past under communist rule. Stories are incredible and give you a strong understanding of why Ukraine is on their minds so much. They know the story firsthand. It is that way with Latvia and Lithuania, too. I will never forget Tallin or Ivo…ever!
A very good way for a first-time visitor to get introduced to Tallinn and Estonia. I am sure the seasoned visitor would also benefit as his knowledge and experience is extensive. A family member in a wheelchair was accommodated very well as we toured some of the city's highlights by van and on foot. Highly recommend.
We had a fantastic guided tour of Tallinn with Ivo, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we met him, it was clear how passionate he is about his home city. The following would be a standard itinerary: •Our tour would start by you getting picked up from your lodging. •From then, we'd first visit Town Hall Square. •What follows would be Raeaapteek, Europe's oldest drugstore. •Afterwards, we'd get to Rataskaevu's "Cat's Well". •We'd then visit the ancient ruins of Harju County. •Next, St. Nicolas church with a view platform. •Later we'd get to the Danish Kings garden. •We'd then head to Toompea castle and the Toompea hill's viewing platforms. •We'd continue driving to Kadriorg Park and Palace. •Next, we'd take a short drive to the Song Festival's grounds and Pirita. •Finally, you'd be dropped off in your accomodation once again. Our tour can be flexible and customized according to your interests.
