Dear travelers! My name is Roman and I am glad to invite you to Tallinn. I've been a licensed guide since 2011 and still advance my knowledge. My working languages are English, Russian and Japanese (basic level). I graduated history faculty and speak of my native city with pride and love. My hobby is going in for sports, traveling, reading books of town history. I cannot spend a day without learning something new about it. My mission as a guide is to showcase Estonia as a good example of a "melting pot". It includes 200 cultures, who make our country function properly. Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, is a cultural phenomenon. It combines incompatible things. For example, leaving Old Town you find yourself in local "Wall Street" with huge skyscrapers around. Tallinn is very urban city. It invites you to walk along medieval narrow streets, romantic park paths, marine promenades, and sunbathe on the town beach. Tallinn Old Town, no doubt, is the best-preserved among other European northern countries and belongs to UNESCO heritage list. During the tour, we talk about its history and modern life, why it was attractive centuries ago and nowadays. Besides, I show where local people live and shop, or where they go for vacation. My mission as a guide is to make your impressions unforgettable and encourage you to come to Tallinn again. I am licensed in popular town museums, which will let us get acquainted with Tallinn's history in detail. My program is very diversified. I am glad to offer you a private walking tour over old Town, a panoramic tour in Tallinn from the window of a private car or van, tours out of Tallinn to manors and waterfalls, local drinks tasting, visiting marzipan gallery for kids, excursions in medieval churches with organ playing master-classes. Welcome to Estonia and its heart Tallinn! You will love it, no doubt! I am a licensed guide in Tallinn and allowed to guide in other Estonian towns. I can guide in: St. Nicholas church Tallinn Town Hall Estonian History Museum (Great Guild) Seaplane harbor Maritime museum (Fat Margaret stout) Kadriorg art museum Open-air museum Tallinn Doll museum Tallinn Dome church Museum of Bank of Estonia Tallinn TV-tower Tallinn Botanical Garden Viimsi Open-air Museum I cannot meet you straight at the cruise port pier. Welcome to Tallinn's Old Town, a UNESCO world heritage site. The Old Town attracts visitors because of its severe gothic dwellings, cozy cobblestone streets, well-made fortress wall with solid towers. It has 2 parts: Downtown - residence of artisans and merchants, and Upper Town - viceroy and nobility area. I will tell you how Tallinn got wealthy, how it attracted invaders and resisted them. You will know why Tallinn was known as a «town of pepper and salt», how Estonians, local Germans, and catholic monks communicated with each other. We'll get acquainted with Tallinn's history through interesting stories and legends. We can't miss the medieval dwellings from the 14-15th century, the oldest Town Hall and Pharmacy in Europe, St Olaf church, having been the highest in the world. We'll see the biggest orthodox church in Estonia, the oldest Dome church. Near it there is Toompea Castle staying, taken by parliament.
