Hello, and welcome to Tallinn! My name is Davide and I have been a private tour guide since 2006. My great interest in Baltic history and society made me start this profession; besides, I really enjoy showing Tallinn guests from all over the world how wonderful this city is. During my excursions, you will be introduced to all interesting aspects of Tallinn, and Estonia. This part of Europe is less known, but only because for many years the Iron Curtain has prevented visitors to easily access it. However, the area, and especially Tallinn, was one of the richest and most thriving cities in Northern Europe. In the past 15 years, also thanks to EU membership, tourism has increased, and you will have the opportunity to see one of the best preserved Hanseatic old towns. Overview of your Tallinn tour
The Estonian/Russian border by the river Narva, is one of the most unique in the world. Two mighty fortresses are facing each other and one can enjoy hundreds of years of history in a brief but intense private excursion. Without actually crossing the border we can admire Russia and the Ivangorod fortress built by the Tsar Ivan III in 1492. Our visit will also focus on the city of Narva, and its fortress built by the Danes to secure the territory of Northern Estonia. During the tour I will introduce you to the complex but interesting history of the relations between the Russians and the Northern Europeans in this strategic part of the world. During our trip to Narva we will make some stops also to enjoy other highlights along the way. I will be able to customize the tour according to your needs. I can arrange this tour for a bigger group upon demand.
