This is a full-day tour which means that this is not suitable for cruise passengers. The main draws for north-eastern Estonia are the highest waterfall in Estonia, the longest sandy beach in Narva-Jõesuu, Narva - the EU border town with Russia, the largest permanent video projection area in the whole of Eastern Europe, lessons how to build bastions etc. Estonia's easternmost town Narva boasts the best-preserved castle (Hermann Fortress) overlooking a large, winding river acting as a border between Estonia and Russia. The nearby Narva-Jõesuu resort is dotted with spas and a large sandy beach that draws in holidaymakers every summer. Narva is a melting pot of Estonian and Russian cultures and a great place to stop and relax. There are many interesting sites to stop along the route between Tallinn and Narva. Like the town of Rakvere, which draws in visitors with its impressive 13th-century castle ruins, the highest waterfall in Estonia, and the once-secret town of Sillamäe. Come and have an adventure!
This tour was the highlight of our time in Estonia. Juhan was very knowledgeable, accommodating, and has great English. My 19 yo son and I very much enjoyed all aspects of the trip and the different stops along the way, many of which we did not know about. Highly recommend!
Juhan spoke good English and had a comfortable car. He is a very knowledgeable guide. We had a great time visiting Sillamae and Narva in addition to a few other stops. This was the best day trip we did in Estonia. I highly recommend it. The fortress and river walk at Narva are really cool and you get to see the Ivanograd fortress across the river too. Sillamae was a former secret Soviet city and has some cool 1950s Soviet architecture.

Great day in the Eastern part of Estonia. Juhan is very passionate guide and has a vast knowledge about his country. The tour was very well planed- Based on my specific interests, Juhan made suggestions on what else I could see and adapted the tour accordingly. He gave me many good tips on what to do during the rest of my stay in Estonia. Juhan provided me with a short video of the tour, which is a great souvenir. I can but warmly recommend choosing Juhan as your guide to tour Estonia.
The trip will take us first through the town of Rakvere, then to the highest waterfall on the north coast, through the once-secret town of Sillamäe up to Narva. There we will visit a cathedral, see the castles and fortifications along the river, have lunch and continue our trip. We'll drive through the resort town of Narva-Jõesuu and if we still have time to have a stop on the way back.
