Hi there, Ni hao! My name is Patrick- a typical Chinese name. Haha, joke aside, first time I heard the name of "Patrick" was almost 30 years ago when I was watching NBA, I am sure you also know Patrick Ewing who played for NewYork Knicks. Such a cool name, I love it! I have been living past 19 years in Shanghai city, China. After working as a full-time English-speaking tour guide for 15 years here, I am still 199% passionate about my job. I have a good command of English because I majored in English, and trust me that I know the city inside out! So now I am more than glad to present you some day tours covering a lot of must-see places in Shanghai city and around Shanghai. I am sure it will be the most efficient and fun way to explore new things with a local guide like me. Moreover, I am very flexible and willing to customize the itinerary based on your interest. In July 2018, I bought a brand new GM Buick van with 7 passenger seats, it is spacious and comfortable, I am a good driver too, so you are in a very safe hand. The city of Shanghai is like no one else, it is a mix of the old and the new, the east and the west, I can not wait to see you under my turf. -Government certified guide -Bachelor of English -Driver's license I have no restrictions guiding tours in my area.

Our tour will start from the old town of Shanghai, which dates back to 1292A. D. It is the biggest tourist attraction here, we will visit 450 years old Chinese garden-Yu garden. You may have a 30-45 minutes for gift shopping in the market. Next we will drive to the bund area to enjoy the old and new skylines of the city. Then we will go to Xintiandi, the former French quarter features fine food, bars and cafes. Lunch break (not included). In the afternoon, we will go to Jade Buddha Temple, to appreciate 2 pieces of Buddha statues made out of jade. Last we will stop at Shanghai tower, get a bird's eye view of the city. ( If weather permits). This door-to-door service will save you great amount of time which you could spend mainly on appreciating the main tourist attractions. I will help you better understand why Shanghai is called " the Mix of the east and the west".
Patrick personalized our tour to meet our needs and really helped us to understand Shanghai on the first day of our trip, so that we were able to really shape the coming few days to meet our desires. Patrick was our guide for two days in Shanghai. We recommend him highly. He speaks wonderful English. He knows his stuff - the amount of history and background he provided as we toured brought everything more to life. If we wanted to do something a little different he made it happen. 5 stars across the board.
