Hello, I'm Jin, a licensed English-speaking tour guide based in Shanghai. For more than 15 years, I have been helping visitors discover Shanghai and eastern China. During those years, I realized that my greatest passion is not simply guiding tours—it's creating personalized journeys that match each guest's interests, travel style and available time. Of course, we'll visit iconic places such as The Bund, Yu Garden or Shanghai Tower if that's what you'd like. But some of my favorite moments happen away from the crowds—walking through historic Shikumen neighborhoods, watching local residents practice Tai Chi in the park, visiting a traditional wet market or sharing dumplings in a neighborhood restaurant. These authentic experiences have become one of the reasons guests remember their day with me long after they return home. Another specialty is my Layover Tours. If you have five hours or more between flights, I can help you turn your stopover into one of the highlights of your journey, with an itinerary carefully planned around your flight schedule. From our first conversation until the end of your visit, I enjoy working together to create a day that reflects your interests and pace. Overview of your Shanghai tour

Description Welcome to Shanghai! If you have several hours between your flights at Pudong Airport, don't spend all your time in the terminal. Let me show you the highlights of my city. One of the advantages of starting from Pudong Airport is the Shanghai Maglev, the fastest commercial train in the world. It takes only about 8 minutes to reach Longyang Road Station, giving us more time to enjoy the city. It also helps us avoid traffic jams and gives us more time to enjoy Shanghai before returning to the airport. Depending on your available time, we can visit historic Puxi, modern Pudong or a combination of both. If time allows, we can also enjoy some famous Shanghai food. This is my suggested tour. If you would like to change the itinerary, just let me know. I will be happy to adjust the tour to match your interests, available time and flight schedule. This tour can also be arranged for guests arriving at Hongqiao Airport.

Jin made a big effort to meet me at my hotel, which was a 2 hour trip for her! She was both organized and very flexible. We went over various options and planned the day together, leaving some options depending on time available toward the end. The tour itself went very well--explanations were excellent and Jin tried to answer all my questions no matter how "in left field" they might be. By day's end I felt I had a good grasp of Shanghai, but would be happy to book another tour next time I visit the city!

Jin was a great tour guide, very responsive to emails before my arrival, she made sure I had all the information required. Once I arrived we had a great day, she arrived a little earlier than arranged and messaged me to let me know she was here (as I was also there early). As I was on a long layover and a little tired Jin was responsive to how I felt, making suggestions or changing our plan depending on how I felt. Her English was good and her knowledge of the sights was great! I would definitely recommend a tour with Jin. Thanks!

We enjoyed our time with Jin showing us the Bund, Shanghai Tower and Yuan Gardens. Her communication with us was excellent detailing our schedule ahead of time through WeChat and email. Her English is great! She took us to the food places we wanted to try: bian jie pancake and large soup dumpling, Unfortunately the weather was rainy and cloudy in the morning so our view on the observatory floor was not as clear as we would have liked. (not her fault). Her knowledge of the Yuan Gardens was detailed and thorough.

Meet at Pudong International Airport I will meet you in the arrival hall of Pudong Airport. We start our tour with a ride on the Shanghai Maglev, the fastest commercial train in the world. In only about 8 minutes we arrive at Longyang Road Station. Because we travel by Maglev, we don't have to worry about traffic jams between Pudong Airport and the city. This gives us more time to enjoy Shanghai and helps us return with plenty of time before your next flight. Depending on your layover time and interests, we can visit places such as: Shanghai Tower The Bund Huangpu River Ferry Nanjing Road People's Square Yu Garden Bazaar Former French Concession Depending on your available time, we can also enjoy lunch or try some famous Shanghai dishes. I will plan the tour around your flight schedule and make sure you return to Pudong Airport with plenty of time before your departure. This tour can also be arranged for guests arriving at Hongqiao Airport.

We normally travel by Shanghai Maglev, Metro and, if needed, Didi taxi. This is usually the fastest way to explore Shanghai during a layover. If you prefer more comfort, we can also travel by private taxi between Pudong Airport and the city. The additional cost is about 600 yuan and can be paid directly to the driver.
