Have you ever heard about Chinese Venice ? As you may know there are several ones in and around Shanghai such as Zhujiajiao, Zhouzhuang, Tongli, Wuzhen, Xitang, Nanxun, etc. Personally I like Tongli the most since it is still well-preserved, not as commercial as others. She is like a quite and gentle lady and patiently waiting for your arrival to show her unique beauty. Let's get away from the bustling city and Slowly down your pace to be one day Tongli people. Walk through long, narrow, rugged and uneven flagstone paved alleys to smell the flavors from local kitchens, talk with locals while sitting in Chinese "gondola " through the ancient canals, try some local cuisines for lunch, have a sip of tea from Qing Dynasty's tea house and enjoy local operas. Though you may not understand a single word , I guarantee you enjoy listening the tones. It will be a unforgettable day of your China trip.
Thanks to our friendly tour guide Qinqin, we were able to enjoy a day in beautiful Tongli. We learned a lot about the history of the town and got lots of nice photos on this trip. We would definitely recommend this private tour with Qinqin if you are in the Shanghai area.

Qinqin was very helpful with all our queries from the time of booking request until the day of the tour. Her English is very good and understandable and she is also very knowledgeable and friendly. We used this tour on the day of disembarking our cruise in Boashan as our flight was at 23.30hrs later that evening. Would highly recomend this tour or Qinqin for any other available tours.
Qinqin could not have been more professional- both in helping us shape our day together- via correspondence prior to leaving for China and during our day together- she was sensitive to what was important to us and our eating preferences- her insights on China and personal warmth were much appreciated. We had a truly great experience.
Tour Itinerary: - Your personal tour guide and driver will pick you up at 8:30am from your hotel lobby. - Drive to Tongli ( 1 hour 45mins) - Visit Tongli water town including Tuisi Garden, the landmark-three bridges, Pagoda Garden, South Garden Tea house ; - Take a wooden manual boat in ancient canal, - Walk on ancient street, etc - Finish the tour and return back to hotel around 4:30pm. Note: The tour is a private tour, if you would like to change the starting time, end time or the itinerary, pls contact with me. The tour rate is for 5 pax max. If your group is more than 5 pax, pls kindly contact for quotation.
