Shanghai half-day Zhujiajiao Ancient Canal Town Private Tour

Liam, our tour guide, has a very smiling face, good vibes and was very very patient with us during the whole duration of our tour. He tried his best to explain the history and stories behind the place even though there’s quite a crowd. He also recommended a place to eat which turned out to be so delicious. He recommended as well the place to shop in the market outside Yuyuan Garden. Liam also is a good photographer, he took very nice photos of us. Definitely would love to recommend him and also on our future travels to China. 5 star for this great guy!

We had a great excursion to Zhujiajiao with Liam. He picked us up at our hotel right on time. We loved seeing the old buildings along the canal, and experiencing the shopping and food along the way. We got some great photos and found some wonderful things to remind of us our time in China. Liam had tons of information and was excited to share it with us. His English was excellent, including the ability to joke around with our group and make the excursion fun. The van was safe and comfortable and everything ran exactly on schedule. Liam also made additional arrangements for us to be dropped off directly at the airport, which was a little more expensive than a cab or subway but much more convenient, allowing us to spend more of the day sightseeing and eliminated the need for us to double back to the hotel for our luggage. All in all, a great excursion and a wonderful place to visit.

Liam is an outstanding tour guide who speaks excellent English and sees to your every need. His knowledge of everywhere we went is outstanding. I highly recommend him for any tour he does!

Excellent tour, Liam was very knowledgable and provided us with a fantastic experience. Zhujiajiao is very much worth a visit and is an interesting place to walk around. Additionally we were delayed by a day coming into Shanghai due to a cancelled flight and Liam changed the tour day for us at very short notice. Great tour, great service, great guide. Thank you Liam

I’ve been on LOTS of tours in LOTS of places - so have had many tour guides - and I can confidently say that Liam is by far the best guide I’ve ever had. His knowledge of the city (Zhujiajiao) —its history, culture, and hidden details—was truly impressive, but what made the experience exceptional was how easy and enjoyable he was to be around. It genuinely felt less like a tour and more like exploring a beautiful old Chinese city with a friend. The tour wasn't only informative but also friendly and fun.
