Haha, joke aside, first time I heard the name of "Patrick" was almost 30 years ago when I was watching NBA, I am sure you also know Patrick Ewing who played for NewYork Knicks. Such a cool name, I love it! I have been living past 19 years in Shanghai city, China. After working as a full-time English-speaking tour guide for 15 years here, I am still 199% passionate about my job. I have a good command of English because I majored in English, and trust me that I know the city inside out! So now I am more than glad to present you some day tours covering a lot of must-see places in Shanghai city and around Shanghai. In July 2018, I bought a brand new GM Buick van with 7 passenger seats, it is spacious and comfortable, I am a good driver too, so you are in a very safe hand. Zhujiajiao Ancient Town is a nice destination to contrast with high-rise modern Shanghai, only an hour drive away from downtown Shanghai. It's quite large at 1. 3 km2 (half a square mile), and well endowed with waterways, 36 ancient bridges, and traditional Chinese-style residences. We will see and visit the top highlights of the town in about 2. 5 hours, including City God temple and Hexin garden, a typical Chinese Jiangnan style garden and know for its collection of hundreds of Chinese antiques, such as colored sculptures, stone tablets, even a two-story "Twin Pagoda" from Sichuan, which was disassembled when the Three Gorges Dam threatened to flood it, shipped across the country, and lovingly reassembled right here in the garden. To sum up, I am going to show you how to really appreciate the beauty of Zhujiajiao Ancient Town.

One important thing for any tour (prior to taking it) is communication. Patrick gets an A+ on this. We had about an hour and a half delay getting off our cruise ship to meet up with him, yet there he was, waiting patiently. He was very accomodating and pleasant throughout the tour and very knowledgeable. He was willing and able to answer a million questions we had. If we are ever back to Shanghai again, Patrick will be our first choice!
