Half a Day Shanghai Classical City Tour will allow you to explore Shanghai highlight in a very efficient way. The itinerary includes more than 460 years old classical Chinese Yu Garden, the bund and former French concession Xintiandi where you can see shikumen house which combines Chinese and French architecture style. Since the tour is a private tour, you can also replace the above attractions with jade budda temple, Shanghai Tower, Chinese match-meeting market in people's park ( only during weekends or national holidays ) , Shanghai museum, Shanghai urban planning museum, Tianzifang , Jewish refugee museum etc. Travel with me who lived in Shanghai more than 15 years, you will feel like traveling with an old friend, I work as an international exporter, Chinese-English interpreter and also travel domestically and internationally often, I was a single for many years and started a family about 4 years ago, with my rich life experience, there is always common topics between us.
Our tour with Qinqin was fantastic. We had a customized tour with her covering Zhujiajao water town, Jade Buddha temple, You Garden, and a few stops in Xintiandi and the Bund. She was passionate, excited, and very knowledgeable about the area and its history. She also knew several great and unique restaurants for us to try local and specialty foods. Had a really great experience with Qinqin, and would recommend her to anyone else looking to tour Shanghai!

Qinqin (Casey) was an amazing guide. She was enthusiastic and so sincere. She was also very attentive towards my sons who are in their late teens and made sure they were engaged during the tour. She switched effectively between Mandarin for me and English for my sons. Her love of Chinese culture, history and tea was very infectious. She was extremely responsive to our questions and queries even before the tour! I would highly recommend her to my family and friends visiting Shanghai
Tour guide will meet you at 8:30am from your centrally-located hotel lobby. Visit Shanghai old town including yu garden and experience more than 400 years old Ming and Qing Dynasty's garden, to explore ancient Chinese government officer's life style and hang around in Yuyuan bazzar and City God temple if you are interested. Walk on the bund to see the comparison between the modern skyscrapers and the old historical buildings. Visit formal French concession- Xintiandi Finish the tour and sent you back to hotel or anywhere in downtown.
