At 7AM, your English-speaking guide will pick you up from your Beijing hotel before departing for Jinshanling Great Wall, situated 140 kilometres from the city centre. The architectural forms at Jinshanling are remarkably diverse, with the style of the mountain-top structures adapting to the undulating terrain. Jinshanling Great Wall combines the grandeur of Badaling, the elegance of Mutianyu, and the precipitousness of Simatai, earning its reputation as the ‘most beautiful section of the Great Wall’ – a title I believe it truly deserves. Yet Jinshanling's beauty extends beyond these shared qualities, possessing distinctive features all its own. Its watchtowers rise in staggered tiers, collectively forming a comprehensive defensive system. We shall sample five renowned Chinese teas and experience an engaging 40-minute tea ceremony ritual at a teahouse.
