Special Great Wall Private Tour-Jinshanling Section

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely outstanding Great Wall experience with CK! We had the most fantastic private tour of the Great Wall with CK and genuinely cannot recommend him highly enough. From beginning to end, he went above and beyond to make the day unforgettable. Our hotel was in a pedestrian area, but CK came right to the lobby to meet us and made sure we were looked after all the way back to his very comfortable vehicle. We had around a two-and-a-half-hour drive out to Jianshanling, but the journey flew by. CK’s English is fluent and very easy to understand, and he shared fascinating insights into Chinese history, culture and everyday life along the way. He is incredibly knowledgeable but also warm, personable and genuinely funny, so the conversation was easy and enjoyable. Once we reached the Great Wall, CK was completely supportive of the experience we wanted. We are a fit and active group and wanted to hike and explore rather than simply visit a viewpoint. It was late in the day and raining, but CK was fully in! His energy and enthusiasm were fantastic. He hiked up with us and then quite a distance along the wall, happily tackling the steep climbs, steps and descents. He is seriously fit! Throughout the hike, his knowledge of the Great Wall was excellent. He explained its history, construction and different features as we went, making the experience so much richer and more interesting. We especially appreciated that he never imposed a fixed itinerary on us. He listened to what we wanted, offered advice and supported our choices, even as dusk approached. By the time we finished it was quite late, but CK’s energy never dropped. He took us to a great local place for dinner and joined us for a meal, which was a lovely way to finish the day. And then the journey home became another highlight! Everyone was tired after the hike, so we ended up having karaoke in the car all the way back. CK was hilarious, energetic and completely joined in. It was the perfect ending to an incredible day. CK is knowledgeable, professional, flexible, thoughtful, energetic, funny and genuinely wonderful company. The Great Wall itself is extraordinary, and CK made the entire experience unforgettable. An easy five stars. If you have the opportunity to book a private tour with CK, do it. We cannot recommend him highly enough!

CK was great, drove us a family of 4 to the great wall 2 hrs away. The minivan was comfortable and airconditioned. His english was perfect, he talked about his family, his job and was informative. Helped us with merchants, getting around, taking photos, and many stories about the history of this great monument. The views and the place was not busy as most go to the nearby wall so we had all the place with no crowds. I would definitely recommend him to all !

Our private tour with CK to the Jinshanling Great Wall was epic! CK was the perfect guide for us. We really enjoyed talking with him about all sorts of topics, Great Wall history but also about his life in China and our life in the US. Its a long drive to this section from Beijing but totally worth it. He made it feel like we were friends hanging out instead of a history lesson, which really matched our style. He also gave us a little time alone to eat our picnic dinner (which we brought) in one of the towers which was so cool. He will tailor the hike to your ability so you can do a short or long section. We would highly recommend this tour and CK as a guide.

This was probably one of the very best highlights of our 3 weeks in China! CK navigated us to a section that was not touristy (we nearly had the wall to ourselves!) and it was challenging but definitely doable. Incredible views, a great overview of the history courtesy of CK, and great pictures to remind us of the fantastic time we had! There is a cable car available (we chose to hike up instead) and were able to walk between 10 watch-towers, finishing at sunset. Enjoyed a wonderful local snack and then the ride back into Beijing. I highly recommend CK for this adventure, and we hope to re-connect when we return in a year or two!

Superb experience visiting Jinshanling Great Wall during sunset. No crowds, quiet and amazing atmosphere. Nice hiking in a breathtaking place. CK is a wonderful guide, professional and friendly. Helping us to have the best views at the best moment. 100% recommended!!
