This two day tour covered the most famous tour attractions in Beijing, Forbidden city, Temple of Heaven, Great Wall and Summer palace. Wanna know more fun facts about the sights? Forbidden City was first built in 1420, there are 24 Ming and Qing dynasty emperors used to work and live in there. Summer Palace was first built in 1750, it is one of the biggest imperial gardens in China. The Great Wall as the ancient defense project in the old days, the Mutianyu Great Wall was first built in Ming dynasty over 600 years ago, this section has 23 buildings open to the pubic and this Wall. Temple of Heaven is located in south part of Beijing, first built in 1420, the ancient emperors would go to the temple three times a year.
It would have been silly to visit without a local guide. This guide in Beijing was excellent, very reliable, knowing where to go to navigate the big crowds. We would not be able to see or understand anything without her. Once again don’t try to visit China without local guides.

Alexandra was a wonderful guide throughgout our 2 days tour, knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, caring, always making sure we got the best results out of our visits to the various attractions (Great Wall, Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square during flag ceremony, forbidden city, temple of heaven). She picked us up at the hotel and arranged everything to get us safely and comfortably back there She also guided us to great meals in best locations with affordable prices. When we come back to Beijing, we will definitely book her as our guide to whatever places there are still to discover. She'll know best! By the way, very good and easily understandable English explanations - which is particularly helpful for non-native English speaking visitors.
A great two days with Alex - the central Beijing sites and the perfect Great Wall location to minimise crowds. All tickets and cars arranged flawlessly, so knowledgable and well organised. Great walk through the hutongs and an amazing (but inexpensive) dumpling lunch. Can not recommend her highly enough, she is amazing.
One Day: Visit the Forbidden city where 24 Ming and Qing emperors use to live and rule China in the morning.Visit the Temple of Heaven in the afternoon, it is a temple for ancient emperors to pray for good harvest in Spring. (lunch is suggested in a local restaurant close to the tour attraction ) if time alows, Hutong can be added. One day: Visit the Mutianyu Great Wall located in north east of Beijing, (1.5 hours drive from the downtown).Visit the Summer Palace in the afternoon.
