Michael was personable and knowledgeable and I learned a lot on the drive to the wall and at the Great Wall that I didn't know. He suggested we leave early to beat the crowd, and that turned out to be great advice. We got through the line, up the tram, and to the top of the wall with minimal waiting. Not only was there no crowd, it was blissfully cool at that time of day, which all the clambering about much more enjoyable. By the time we came down, the temperature was heating up and the lines were long. It was a very good call. The minivan up and back was also very comfortable and the driver was excellent. All in all a great trip!

Michael is a very arranging guide, ready to make compromise to arrange the best customized tour. As such, with only 1 day available, I could do both Mutianyu Great Wall and the Forbidden City. Furthermore Michael picked me up at my hotel at 6:30am, despite it was out of Ring 5, so we could arrive at Mutianyu GW just for the opening, and thus avoid too much people. I've been unlucky with the weather (hot, cloudy and wet at the GW, and a big storm when arriving to the FC), but Michael is not in charge of the weather, unfortunately ;o)) We had good time together, I saw great things, we had a bit of fun, and a good lunch together. I fully recommand Michael for customized private tour around Beijing !

Exceptional Experience at Mutianyu! If you are planning a trip to the Great Wall, look no further! This tour was absolutely incredible from start to finish. My guide was phenomenally knowledgeable, sharing fascinating historical insights about the Wonder of Ancient China that brought the stone and guard towers to life. Navigating a world heritage site can be overwhelming, but having the tickets completely handled and logistics synchronized seamlessly made the day entirely stress-free. My guide knew exactly how to pace the hike, pointed out the absolute best photo spots (and even helped capture some stunning shots!), and ensured I had a memorable, unhurried experience. Truly a 10/10 day—highest recommendation!

Michael is a great guide with good English, very informative and helpful. We arrived at the Great Wall an hour before closure and had an amazing experience, shot great photos with no tourists. The dinner afterwards was great as well. Thank you so much indeed! Hope to see you again.
