Hi there, welcome to Molly’s channel! I’m Molly, your friend from China. I’ve been living in Beijing for nearly 20 years. This 3,000-year-old city holds a profound and intricate cultural charm that has always captivated me, and I’d love to share that same feeling with you. For almost 10 years, I worked as a product manager. It was a career that paid well, but as I gained more life experience, I realized I wanted to follow my true passions. I love traveling… I love history… I love discovering new things… and I love exchanging ideas with people from different cultures. That’s why, in 2024, while still working full-time, I earned my national English tour guide license. And in 2025, I officially transitioned to being a full-time English-speaking tour guide and a full-time travel product designer. My decade of experience as a product manager gave me strong skills in understanding user needs and designing experiences. On top of that, I’m also a passionate traveler myself. I’ve visited 16 countries and explored every single province of China, which allows me to truly understand your needs and challenges while traveling. Because of this background, I can confidently say that my tours and itineraries are 100% unique. Every tour is carefully designed in both content and delivery to be authentic and engaging. E.G., the Forbidden City you’ll see with me will never be the same as what you experience with anyone else^ ^ I believe that many travel destinations in our lives are “once-in-a-lifetime.” That’s why I don’t like rushed, checklist-style sightseeing. Instead, I want to accompany you in feeling the city, feeling its cultural roots and modern vitality, and in exploring the city, exploring its food, fun, and authentic local life. Although I became a full-time tour guide not too long, I hold double bachelor’s degrees in Communication and History. I’ve always loved reading history, and I enjoy weaving stories from China’s long past—whether brilliant, glorious, or absurd—into my tours, bringing them alive for you along the way. Join me, let me be your insider in Beijing!

When you visit Beijing, you must experience the Hutongs! Beijing has two faces — one imperial and grand, but distant from daily life, and one civilian and lively, full of heart. After admiring the city's luxurious palaces, venture into the Hutongs to truly discover its down-to-earth side. With more than 1,000 Hutongs crisscrossing the city like capillaries, each alleyway tells its own story. They have witnessed the changes of society, history, and countless lives. Come with me! Uncover legendary tales, explore local religious traditions, and ride a traditional rickshaw — the old-school taxi of Beijing. Then taste local street food, unwind like a true Beijinger, and finally climb the Drum Tower for a panoramic view of the gray-tiled rooftops along the city’s central axis. A journey where tradition meets modern life.
- We'll meet at the South Gate of Hehua Market - Our journey begins with a scenic walk along the lake, where you'll enjoy beautiful views and hear the stories behind the surrounding architecture and landmarks. - Visit the most popular and local religious temple, feel the Chinese youth’s spiritual belief. - Take a rickshaw, catch the wind and deep into the uncrowded alleys. - Strolling down Yandai Xiejie (Tobacco Pipe Lane) — the oldest commercial street in Beijing. - Visit the Drum and Bell Towers, marking the northern end of Beijing’s Central Axis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. -Along the way, we’ll pass by plenty of street foods you’ve probably never heard of — authentic local favorites that real Beijingers eat, not the ones just made for tourists. The full experience lasts about 4 hours.
