Forbidden City and Mutianyu Great Wall Private Day Tour

We had an excellent tour with Clare. She is very knowledgeable and fun to be with. We enjoyed the Forbidden City in the morning. Clare provided a lesson in imperial Chinese history and pointed out things that we would have missed had we tried to go without a guide. In the afternoon we took the comfortable van to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. We stopped for a delicious lunch before taking the chair lift up to an almost empty part of the wall. Clare had an excellent rapport with our normally shy teen son and the wall was his highlight of our trip. He even endured an impromptu photo shoot from Clare. Clare set a good pace for the tour overall with just the right amount of time at each location and breaks in between. She is personable and educational. We would like to take another tour with her when we are back in Beijing.

The tour focuses on the main touristic attractions in Beijing and i think it's ideal for a day trip, anything extra would probably be too tiring. Clare was an excellent company, on point pick up, very knowledgeable and well organized, including in the collaboration with our driver. Definitely recommend to anyone interested.
