Valparaíso World Heritage Day Tour - Santiago Chile

Our tour day with expert guide Alberto was outstanding. He really knows how to give a tour! We feel we gained so much knowledge and understanding of the country of Chile as well as the Chilean people. Our tour’s first stop was at a local family operated vineyard in Casablanca to try their exquisite wines, views of the beautiful rows of vines, workers harvesting grapes and so much more. Then on to Valparaiso to see the many streets of murals and street art and a visit to a locally owned gallery. Using the funiculars of the area was a treat. Alberto chose a local Chilean restaurant for our delicious lunch that is hard to forget. Visiting the historic square and harbor was a real plus. Coincidentally our visit coincided with Chile’s Inauguration Day but Alberto wonderfully handled the slight adjustments necessary due to the influx of visitors on this historic day. Alberto is so open, friendly and knowledgeable on the history of Chile and its wonderful people. In addition, he expertly handled the adjustments needed due a health concerns of one of our group. Alberto made our day perfect…you couldn’t find a better guide.

He was very flexible and adjusted his initial itinerary to accommodate our interests. Alberto was an excellent guide! We wanted a guide with knowledge and a love of the area, but one who would also be flexible and accommodating to things we wanted to see. We got all of that in Alberto. He made a great suggestion for lunch, took us to shops and areas he thought we’d be interested in (we were), knew the area well enough to keep us safe, and when I asked if we could stop and listen to a local who was singing and playing guitar he even joined in with a beautiful harmony. We had a fantastic time and will book with Alberto when we can come again!

We had a lovely day strolling the hills of Valparaiso with Alberto. It was a perfect way to recover from our overnight flights before heading south to Patagonia

Alberto was amazing! He was so easy going and learned and super knowledgeable and helpful about so many topics. He could easily talk about architecture, history, music, culture - so much! He worked so hard so to customize our tour - he even brought a little trailer to have space for our extra luggage. He really listened to our interests to make sure we saw what was important to us. He made a great day by meeting us at our ship, touring two cities and the countryside, arranging a lovely meal and getting us to the airport on time. He was super responsive ahead of the tour to all of our questions. What an amazing day!

We had a wonderful day with Alberto. He was excited to show us Valparaiso’s unique eclectic areas( the wall murals in the Cerros were amazing ) and the history of the city. It was exactly what we were hoping to experience . The restaurant for lunch was wonderful !! Thank you Alberto !
