Valparaíso: Exploring the Pacific’s Jewel

Joaquin was an amazing guide. We thoroughly enjoyed his knowledge of Valparaiso and surrounding areas and of Chile overall, and his passion for wanting to assist travelers/adventurers to experience activities/areas that are "off the beaten track". Our full-day trip to Valparaiso was excellent. Most of the time in Valparaiso was walking the streets, appreciating the back alleys and the local street art and the way of living. We saw areas and experienced local aspects of living in Valparaiso that we would not have experienced (or seen) had we done this trip ourselves. Joaquin suggested a small local restaurant that specialized in seafood. The food was amazing. Thank you Joaquin, you made our trip to Valparaiso very memorable.

Joaquin was by far one of the best guides we have ever had. I have high expectations as a New Yorker and Joaquin exceeded all. He was prompt, informative, engaging, well organized and it was if we had been friends for years. He even lent me his jacket, even though he had told me to bring one and i did not heed his advice. I highly recommend Joaquin for any tour.

Joaquin met us on time at cruise port in a large van w/ AC for 4 of us and all our luggage. We proceeded to Santiago for a tour. Tour started in city center, then cultural museum, followed by lunch in local restaurant. Then a nice park and hike pointing out various nature items and points of interest. Then to a park in Recoleta. Went to top in cable car, then down in Cog train. We were then taken to airport and dropped off with luggage carts in a very convenient manner for our flights. A great day!!

Joaquin was an excellent guide for our three generation family through Valparaiso and the Casablanca Valley. He took us to the local spots and planned ahead so we never waited. In addition, he found a special, female-owned winery for our tasting. We had amazing food, saw fantastic street art, and enjoyed delightful local wine. His driver, former special forces, was efficient and we felt safe at all times. I would definitely recommend Joaquin's services.

Joaquin gave us a passionate and intimate experience touring Valparaiso. He is a terrific guide who puts customers first. he is knowledgeable, kind and has very special insights and builds special experiences into his tours. We had a wonderful day with Joaquin. There were 6 of us just ending a 2 week cruise with a whole day before we flew home. He met our ship (though we were late disembarking) with a driver & vehicle big enough for all of us & our luggage. He was friendly, knowledgeable & easy to understand. We enjoyed a walking tour & seeing things we would never have on our own. We especially enjoyed lunch with local seafood that he knew. When we were done, he dropped us at the airport terminal.
