It is also close to some beautiful and popular summer resort towns, such as; Algarrobo : with the world largest swimming pool, Isla Negra , Pablo Neruda (a Chilean poet Nobel Prize) main home museum, el Quisco and Rocas de Santo Domingo, very beautiful and popular central Coast summer resort little towns. It's an área where I spent all my holidays time when I was young, so I know all this área very well. All this area is also well known all through Chile as the Poets Litoral. -

I can’t say enough about Victor Hugo. My husband and I have used Tours by Locals for several years. We’ve always had great service and tours, but nothing compares to the level of service and detail Victor provided. He was always prompt , his knowledge and enthusiasm was superb. We were fortunate to have Victor for three days. He carried us to so many special gems. We departed Santiago after three days of tours and felt we have left our new friend and family with Victor. If going to Santiago/Valparaiso or any of surrounding areas, Victor should be your choice.

What a fabulously wonderful day. Stepping off the ship I was a bit nervous given how crazy it was at the port but the minute I met Victor I knew we were in good hands. He was there early and explained how the day would go. Understanding some of our limitations he customized the tour for us on the go. It was an informative and enjoyable 6 hours. So much so that I asked if was available the next day. Thankfully the answer was yes.

Our getting off the ship was delayed by 2 hours - not to worry, Victor was ready and waiting for us at the port in San Antonio with his very clean and comfortable car. We made a decision to stay on the coast where the weather is cool and the towns are smaller. Instead of driving to Santiago, we visited Valparaiso and Vina Del Mar. Victor was very knowledgeable about the area's history, geography, culture and politics. His English is excellent - also just a fun and charming man to spend a day with!
