We had a wonderful private tour of Halifax through ToursByLocals! Our guide, Cris, was friendly, knowledgeable, and gave us a great feel for the city and its history. The evening was perfectly paced, and we especially enjoyed the fun snack stops along the way. Sampling local treats made the tour feel even more personal and gave us a chance to experience Halifax beyond just seeing the sights. Kris was a fabulous choice for a tour while in Halifax on a cruise stop. His communication was excellent, I knew exactly where to meet him, it was very convenient, and the tour was very informational and fun. Kris was a fountain of local recommendations. My four teens/YA loved it. After the tour we had time to visit a few shops Kris recommended and loved them all. 10/10 recommend.

Kris's personalized tour for the two of us took us from the port into the city by foot. We enjoyed seeing the key sites in the city and hearing about the history of Halifax. We skipped the climb to citadel, but Kris just filled the three hours with more sites, stories, and history. He will focus on what your particular interests are about Halifax. It was a very enjoyable relaxed tour. Kris is very easy going and personable. I highly recommend this tour.

Kris did a great job leading us through Citadel Hill, the public gardens, government house, the waterfront and other stops along the well. Very knowledgeable, friendly and adaptable

Your Halifax tour itinerary

Important: Our tour lasts for 3 hours. However, if you decide not to include a visit to historic spring garden area, the tour duration may be shortened. Rest assured, I will be with you for the full 3 hours. Also food prices not included in the tour - We will start at Halifax port or somewhere in downtown Halifax, and make our way towards spring garden road: there we will see Government house house, St. Mary's Cathedral Basilica, Halifax public library and historic spring garden area. On our way back you can try world famous Halifax food that you will not get anywhere else. Than we will head towards city hall and enjoy some time in our bar district while I tell you all fun stories related to it - We will then make our way back to waterfront and enjoy famous lobster roll , ice cream and see some beautiful attractions. Although tour usually starts at 9am but I am flexible with time. Also I can customize this tour if you are looking for something different. Don't hesitate in reaching out!
