For 250 years, Halifax has played a central role in the defence of Canada. With more service members per capita than any other Canadian city, Halifax's military character is obvious. We will explore Halifax's military history in depth by visiting museums, historic sites and fortifications. Our exact route and itinerary will vary, but points of interest will typically include: - Maj-Gen Robert Ross grave and Sebastopol Monument - St. Paul's Anglican Church - Army Museum at Halifax Citadel - Naval Museum at Admiralty House - Shearwater Aviation Museum in Dartmouth - Deadman's Island (War of 1812) - York Redoubt fortifications
- Old Burying Ground - St. Paul's Anglican Church - Halifax Citadel - Army Museum at Halifax Citadel (optional) - Naval Museum at Admiralty House (optional) - Shearwater Aviation Museum in Dartmouth (optional) - York Redoubt fortifications - Deadman's Island park The tour may be customized to accommodate special interests.
