A bit about me: I’m passionate about the outdoors, have a background in martial arts (18+ years of training and teaching self-defense), and worked in electronics engineering and document management for over two decades before returning to Nova Scotia in 2011. During the pandemic I rediscovered my love of fishing—so yes, I’ve got plenty of “big one that got away” stories to swap! I’m easygoing, enjoy a good laugh, and love sharing stories—from Nova Scotia’s rich history to my own travels around the world. Above all, I’m committed to making your time here memorable and take pride in being both Canadian and a proud Nova Scotian. What an outstanding tour. Mel set the standard and raised the bar for tours. His impressive knowledge combined with his use of a van sound system and visual displays on an iPad made it a tour to remember. I highly recommend this tour or any of Steve's tours.

Mel and Garrin were wonderful. Great tour. So accommodating to our large group. We had 13 go and Mel set up another vehicle. Free time at Peggy’s cove was just the right amount. Nice stop at maple store. The best lunch stop for fish fry. Lobster trapping lesson was good! Thorough history of Titantic cemetery. Very interesting. He took two of us after to the waterfront to walk back. Was perfect. Highly recommend!!
