As we leave the downtown area the drive takes you along the Historic Waterfront where we will have a view of the Great Halifax Explosition of 1917 and the two bridges that join Halifax and our sister city of Dartmouth, on our way to Fairview Lawn cemetery the last resting place of the souls lost in the Titanic. We then follow the coast to Peggy's Cove village and Lighthouse, stopping along the way at several little fishing villages. You have aprox 1 hour to walk the village of Peggy's Cove There are several small restaurants along the way that serve local dishes, they specialize in fresh lobsters, fish and chips, lobster roll sandwiches.
