Overview of your Vienna tour
We follow in the footsteps of the rise of evil, where Hitler developed his ideas for the genocide of Europe's Jewish population. For Austria, World War II began in early 1938 with the illegal annexation by the Nazi Reich. We visit the places that Hitler used as his most important propaganda film locations. Afterwards, we visit the famous buildings of Vienna that were bombed and destroyed by the US Air Force. We learn a lot from the previous wars in Vienna's 2000-year history. We learn more about the period during the Nazi regime. We explore Jewish life and learn about the dangers and deportations of the Jewish population. Vienna was divided into four zones in 1945. Terrible fates befell people, especially in the Soviet zone.
