My hobby is my job, my job is my hobby! My original Hungarian surname is Orsolya, which means Ursula if you prefer. I was born in Budapest and settled down in Vienna in 1992 when I immediately fall in love with this beautiful city! I finished my master's degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts. At the same time I had the opportunity to discover how many musical, art, and architectural wonders this city has to offer. I wanted to share this experience with anyone who is visiting Vienna, so I completed the national training and received my accreditation as a licensed Austrian Tour Guide in 2003. Since then I have been guiding tours throughout Vienna and Austria in English, Hungarian, German and Portuguese. Along the way, I show you all the important historical and cultural sites of Vienna, where the former Habsburg Empire - one of the most influential rulers in Europe - had its seat for almost seven centuries-long, and where nowadays the historical traditions, the modern developments, and infrastructures are respecting each other. My enthusiasm for Vienna has many facets - as a music teacher in the music capital of the world, for instance, is an amazing experience. I am a self-employed tour guide. I am very much looking forward to showing you this beautiful place and letting you experience this magnificent and unique town with me as your Vienna tour guide. See you in Vienna! First we will discover the medieval romanesque chapel - The Virgillkapelle - from the 11th century, which is one of the secret and hidden rarity in down town, since it is located underground, below of the Stephansplatz. Through a short exhibition and an animated cartoon we get an impression about the medieval Vienna from the period of time, before the cathedral was built. From here we'll continue to The St. Stephen's Cathedral (from outside and inside) and admire the magnificent gothic architectural highlights of the church. The last part of the tour is dedicated to the former imperial winter residence of the Habsburgs, The Hofburg Palace, where we will be enjoying an overview walking tour around the most significant courtyards of the palace-ensemble. The tour ends in down town at a restaurant or a typical Viennese coffee house of your choice. In case you need any suggestion, I can show you any of my favorite ones with pleasure.
• We will meet at the small model of The St. Stephan's Cathedral on the south side of the church. • As first we will be visiting the hidden and secret underground chapel bellow of the cathedral square and get an impression of the medieval town. We will also attend a public tour through the catacomb and experience the flair of the former burial cellars and hear about curios legends during we'll be visiting the small chamber, where the urns of the innen organs of the former Habsburg archdukes are kept. • From here we will take a short walk up to The Hofburg Palace and admire the facades, the court yards and wings of the former imperial winter residence, such as The Spanish Ridding School, The Old Castle and The National Library
