Servus & welcome to Vienna! Like many other Viennese, I chose Vienna as my heartfelt home because the only thing better than vacationing in Vienna is, of course, living here. Apart from being the capital of waltz, art museums, and Imperial Grandeur, Vienna is a very colorful, yet relaxed, contemporary hub regularly declared the most livable city in the world. Loving my city as much as I do, I delight in sharing its beauty and its stories with visitors like you! My story starts in the 1980s behind the Iron Curtain in the capital of Romania. However, following an adventurous migration, I mostly grew up in an Austrian province named Upper Austria. My first love was art, and it began with my studies of Textile Art & Design at Linz’ University. Needless to say, this is an everlasting love, and thankfully Vienna is a city full of beautiful museums and wonderful street art. Another passion of mine is travelling, and my second career as a flight attendant in Private Aviation allowed me to travel the globe, visit dozens of countries and live and work abroad in places like the South of France. But maybe my passion # 1 currently is history – following my history studies I decided to engage in a profession that permits me to be surrounded daily with culture, history, and beauty. Therefore, I returned to Austria, declared Vienna my home at last, and obtained my qualification and certification as a local guide. When I’m not introducing Vienna to dear travelers, I might be touring through some other fascinating corner of Europe as a trip leader, or I could be enjoying la dolce vita in the Mediterranean or perhaps attending a wine seminar in the Wachau. But just as likely, I’m at home experimenting with a newly discovered recipe, hunting for books in the antiquary, or running to the theatre to catch a play. I look forward to welcoming you in what is considered to be the biggest – and certainly the most charming - village in the world, and sharing my knowledge, humor, and our local culture with you!

Its refined Rokoko interior witnessed opulent balls, critical state conferences, illustrous albeit unbidden guests like Napoleon, and last but not least the end of the 637-year-long monarchy under one single dynasty. Travel back in time to Maria Theresia’s luxurious court, meet fastidious Franz Joseph and his excentric Empress Sisi, and admire the dazzling baroque gardens with their classical sculptural program, superb fountains, and impressive viewpoints.

Join my Grand Tour (40 rooms!) of the State and Private Apartments of Maria Theresia, Franz Joseph, and Sisi for a wealth of captivating history seasoned with behind-the-scenes anecdotes. The visit continues with a guided walk through the gardens, adjusted in length to your preference. This tour can be further tailored, e.g. as a shorter Highlights tour (22 rooms) or extended to include the Imperial Carriage Museum. Kindly note that, particularly for short notice bookings, a few hours may be required to secure the necessary tickets. As a certified guide, I am generally able to obtain tickets even during peak periods, and I will keep you informed while taking care of the arrangements. You will pay for your tickets ON SITE in CASH (EUR). I do not price those in because I want to offer flexibility in tailoring your tour. Prices per adult: Grand Tour (40 rooms) 38.-, Highlights Tour (22 rooms) 28.-, Carriage museum 14.-. DO NOT purchase tickets online, as they do not work with a personal guided tour!

Main entrance of Schoenbrunn - iron gate flanked by two columns topped with gilded eagles. If you come by taxi/Uber, they will drop you right there. Enter the gate and meet me in front of the ticket & service centre. Alternatively, I can pick you up and we’ll head there together by public transportation or taxi.
