Hello and welcome, I would be most happy to show you my Vienna: Elegant, full of art and history and at the same time a vibrant and very livable city in the heart of Europe. There are impressive and scenic places to show, countless stories to tell, surprising connections to make. Architecture, famous personalities, the changeable fortune of the city but also the small and "typical" details do make Vienna unique for me. This is exactly why I decided to become a guide. After majoring in political science and German philology at the University of Vienna and many years working for European Union programs I finally turned my fascination for my hometown into my profession. Having completed a two-years training course I passed the Austrian state examination for tourist guides in 2017 and since then I have been a full-time guide offering inspiring tours in the city as well as in many museums. Becoming a guide has been the best decision in my professional life. I simply love sharing my knowledge of Vienna and my enthusiasm for this city with visitors from all over the world and I gladly adjust to the interests of my guests. I focus on overview and themed walking tours as this is the best way to explore and discover the town. From the famous squares to the hidden corners - let's do it together! Licensed Austria and Vienna Guide Masters degree in political science and German language and literature, University of Vienna I am not a driver guide and I focus on walking tours. If wished, I can accompany you in your vehicle or arrange for a separate car/minivan and driver. The price for a car and driver is charged extra.

Strauss, Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, Schubert and many other prominent composers were connected to Vienna and contributed to its reputation as one of the world's capitals of music. How and where did they live, what inspired them and why was old Vienna so irresistible for them? On this walking tour we look at the big talent as well as some quirks of famous composers and musicians and hear about the social and historical context of their work and life. As a special extra I will present you little pieces of music during the tour, all of them composed in Vienna and /or staged here for the first time. This way you will get to know the birthplaces of some of the most famous melodies of classical music. A fascinating experience! Since this tour leads you through some of the most scenic areas of Vienna's historic city center, it makes it both for lovers of music and first time visitors a lovely alternative to exploring the city.

We really enjoyed Angelika’s historical insights on the musical history of Vienna. From opera to classical music to the boy’s choir, she traced the roots of famous composers of this famous city, weaving stories in with the architectural history of many of the gorgeous buidings here.
Angelika was a fantastic guide! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful and showed us exactly what we wanted to see. She even took us aside to see the Lipizzaner stallions when I mentioned them in conversation. She was able to also add information to our tour that our daughter, who is studying psychology, found especially interesting, even thought it wasn't about music in Vienna (of which she had great knowledge). She adjusted the tour seamlessly to accommodate our choice of starting point and was able to end near our apartment. We highly recommend touring with her!
Angelika was amazing! We loved our walking tour and highly recommend to any classical music lover. Since Vienna is so embedded in music history, the tour covered a good amount of regular sites as well.
Angelika was outstanding. She was very responsive to what we wanted to see (primarily Classical composers/music-related sites and secondarily, European history) and was very willing to adapt to the questions we asked and in some cases she changed our route in order to respond to our questions. I will definitely recommend her to my friends who come to Vienna and want a first rate tour.
I highly recommend a tour of Vienna with Angelika. We learned a great deal. She has a great gift for finding just the right places just off the normal tourist paths to give perspectives on life in the city, its history, and its culture, particularly its music. We chose her music tour and she provided wonderful insights into Vienna's many famous composers, including where they lived when they wrote various pieces and where their most famous works were first performed. Her music tour is fantastic.
