Beethoven was born in Bonn (today's Germany). However, chose to be a Viennese when he was 22. And died here in 1827. He changed his apartment roughly 68 times. In 1802 he wrote his famous Heiligenstädter Testament. He followed his teacher Haydn to Vienna but left only after six months. He learned from Mozart whom he admired but never met. He had various supporters. Nevertheless, he wasn't able to overcome the obstacle in his life, the doom of having deaf ears that worsen year after year.
