"Oh Darling, Let's Be Adventurers. " Explore with a Local! I have lived in Melbourne for over 30 years and call myself a local. I have a long-time love and passion for Melbourne, and created a city of Melbourne tour which covers the laneways, parks, gardens, historical buildings and the Golden Mile. I also venture past the city precinct into the first suburb of Melbourne, Fitzroy, to showcase wonderful street art, the buildings of Mac Robertson (chocolate entrepreneur), quirky shops and coffee shops/restaurants. My love of gourmet food, fine wine and walking saw the birth of Wine and Food Lovers' Tours — which offered group, private and flexible, tours of the stunning Victorian winery regions. The tours are sure to provide a memorable experience for any wine lover and outdoor enthusiast. I regular travel the Great Ocean Road (in both directions) and also visit our winery regions. Besides this, I have a passion for the bushland around Melbourne and can plan a hiking tour for travellers encompassing your interests. I am a member of Tour Guides Australia (TGA) and am an expert events coordinator, having worked for many years as a corporate conference and exhibition organiser. Please note: This tour is a Shorex Expedition for Cruise ships docking at Phillip Island! I shall pick you up from the port at Cowes, Phillip Island at 2. 00 pm. We will travel to Rhyll for a short walk in nature to enjoy views of French Island and some of the wetlands. Then we head via the Koala Sanctuary back to Cowes for an early dinner. After dinner, we visit the Nobbies and enjoy a coastal drive before heading to the Penguin Parade to enjoy an entertaining arrival of the Little Penguins. After the Penguins have entertained us, we head back to the port in Cowes in time for your departure.
We enjoyed spending two days with Patricia. She is very knowledgeable about history, nature, and popular places to shop/eat/visit. A city tour would've been fun with her. For Phillip Island we stopped at beautiful lookouts, beach sheds, a koala preserve and dinner before the parade. She's a fun person to spend time with and very flexible. We definitely recommend her.
Patricia was a wonderful host for our memorable 10-hour tour to Phillip Island. The Koala Sanctuary provided a close-up view of dozens of koalas in a nature setting. At the Sherwood restaurant for dinner, the seafood and drinks were excellent. The route to the Penguin Parade took us beyond the site and along the beautiful coastline view with wild wallabies all around. Patricia reserved VIP seating for us at the Penguin Parade where we saw hundreds of Little Penguins emerge from the sea and waddle inland.
Patricia was marvelous. She is most knowledgeable and personable. She offered us options before and during the tour that were much appreciated. She is also an excellent driver. We would certainly engage Patricia again when we need a guide in and around Melbourne.
We had a wonderful afternoon and evening with Patricia. She is really passionate about Melbourne and conveys her enthusiasm. Patricia had really thought about options for the day, including how to respond to the changeable Melbourne weather. At the same time, she was flexible and extremely accommodating. We felt very comfortable with Patricia who is great fun and a really interesting person. Thank you for a terrific day out!!
Patricia was a wonderful Guide for our all day birthday celebration for my husband on September 24. We went to two wineries, had a wonderful hike and a lovely lunch that day. We also saw the Penguins and Patricia provided us with a lovely picnic supper before our way back to Melbourne. She was A great driver, flexible and very knowledgeable as we bombarded here with all kinds of questions about Australia.
