Welcome to the end of the world! Hi everyone. I am an experienced professional tour guide in Ushuaia. I have been guiding as a full time job for more than 15 years since I graduated from University and I moved to live here. It is always a pleasure to lead travelers in discovering Tierra del Fuego with its history and natural beauty. I spend most of my time outdoors. I'm an active birder, hiker, kayaker and wildlife photographer. I also enjoy my days off exploring new destinations around Tierra del fuego as well as southern Patagonia. Our tour with Gaston was better than we could have ever hoped! We had been to Ushuaia before and enjoyed the national park and other touristy spots, but Gaston took us to all his favorite places instead. We enjoyed even more spectacular scenery and didn't have to share it with thousands of cruise-ship passengers. Gaston is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and a true professional. Gaston is everything you ever wanted in a tour guide! He was friendly, helpful, flexible, knowledgeable, and a safe driver as well. My group of 6 was extremely happy with Gaston, who was so obliging, and happy to heed to all our requests. ( stops for photos). he was on time, and easily identified just as we disembarked, comfortable and very clean van for our transportation. extremely informative with the history of Ushuaia. drove us to the most scenic areas, we have ever seen( Garibaldi pass and Lake Escondido, and Lake Fagnano. tailored our tour to our likings, with short and scenic hike in Tierra del Fuego national park. recommend

Your Ushuaia tour itinerary

- Depart from the hotel/port towards the winter sport centers area, which is only half an hour from downtown, on the way we will stop in Carbajal Valley where we have a magnificent view of the weatlands called Peat bogs, and a few small glaciers, which survive from the last Glaciation period. - In a winter sport center we can meet Hugo's family and get a first hand testimony about breeding Huskies. They raise and train sled dogs for recreational purposes and participate in events known as dog sled races. - After sharing a hot drink there we get back to the van in order to reach Garibaldi pass, where starts a walk for 45 minutes to have a unique view of lakes Escondido and Fagnano, at this moment we will be in the highest altitude of our tour increasing our chances to see soaring Andean Condors. - We continue driving north to visit Escondido and Fagnano lakes, there are so many scenic look outs to stop and take photos, your camera will be full of amazing memories. - We visit the city and back to hotel/port
