Hi! I'm Barbara and I've been working as a Professional tour guide in Ushuaia since 2002. Ever since I was a teenager I wanted to be a tour guide. I love meeting new people and being able to share part of my culture and history. I studied in Buenos Aires and graduated as a Tour guide in the year 2000. After doing a master's degree in Spain I came back to Argentina and decided I didn't want to live in a big city anymore. So I chose Ushuaia as my new home, and moved here in 2002. I soon started working for a local company and after a few years I was hired to work as a trip leader taking American groups to Antarctica and Patagonia. I met my husband in Ushuaia, and we now have two little girls who share our passion for nature. Working as a tour guide is a rewarding and fulfilling experience. I'm very passionate about my country, and love to talk about anything passengers are interested in. I'm very friendly and knowledgeable about my city, our traditions and history and I'm looking forward to sharing it with you. As every person is different and has different interests, I'm more than willing to organize the kind of tour you need, so don't hesitate and ask! If you take a tour with me, I'll make sure you visit and enjoy Ushuaia in a different way, offering an insight of what life is like in this part of the world. The End of the World awaits your visit! See you soon. . . Tierra del Fuego National Park licence, issued by the Argentina's National Park authority Tierra del Fuego Province licence, issued by the local authorities Ushuaia's Port admission licence, issued by Port authorities As a licensed Tour guide I have no restriction to work within the province. I hold the credentials for both the National Park and the Tierra del Fuego Province.

Come and enjoy and unforgettable journey in this narrow gauge train and discover the splendor of the National Park. Ushuaia started as a Penal Colony in 1884 and it has been growing and expanding ever since. If you want to combine history and nature together, this is the perfect tour for you! On the way to the Train Station you will learn about the beginnings of the city as a Penal Colony and how the convicts used to ride a train to transport wood from the nearby forest. Travel the same route as the convict train did 80 years and learn how they used to work and what life was really like for them. Afterwards we will drive through some of my favourite areas in the National Park where I will tell you all about the local flora, wildlife as well as stories of natives an explorers. Even though I've been living here for many years I'm always amazed by the beauty of this area and I'm looking forward to sharing it with you so you can see it through my eyes. Im sure you will fall in love with it!
