Exploring the interior of Tierra del Fuego

Had a great all day tour with Nicolas. We wanted to get some good hiking on the less crowded trails with some time spent on learning about the local culture and the surrounding vegetation. Nicolas surpassed all expectations. We hiked multiple trails with beautiful views with nary a soul in sight. Nicolas packed us a delicious lunch which we ate on a secluded spot on the shore of Fagnano Lake. There was also tasty sweets with tea or coffee. Nicolas has been a guide for over 20 years in this area. Sharing his love and knowledge of this beautiful place is where he really shines. It was a memorable day. Highly recommend if you want something better than the usual tours offered in Ushuaia.

Ushuaia is one of the most beautiful places we visited and we were lucky to have Nicolas as our guide. In spite of the bad weather, he took us around, made us feel comfortable and gave us great luch and hot drinks. The best guide I have ever met. Thanks to Tours By Locals & Nicolas.

Nicolas was amazing! Did so well the our first day we hired him for a second and made a great day out of rainy weather with a backup plan that revealed many beautiful areas of the island. Fabulous tour! We wanted something active and off the beaten path and that's exactly what we got, and so much more. Gorgeous scenery with not a soul in sight. Great hiking, but not so strenuous we couldn't enjoy the views. Nico was a fabulous guide, giving us really great perspective on where we were in the world. He was also incredibly helpful, giving us tips for the rest of our time here. We loved spending the day with him and wish we had more time with him!

I wish I could give "Nicho" 10 stars! He is the best guide I have ever had from all over the world, and I found him at " the end of the world ." The tour was precisely intuitive and sensitive to my personal interests. All of my questions were thoroughly answered. I was given thoughtful options throughout the day, allowing for changing weather. I left Tierra del Fuego really feeling that I knew the place, and that's all one can ask of travel. Highly recommend this tour and Nicolas as a guide. We were picked up at hotel and were taken into Tierra del Fuego National Park. We went off the main track and saw some amazing views. Hiking was geared to our abilities. Nicolas is very passionate about Tierra del Fuego and his love of the area shows. His knowledge of the flora, fauna, geology and politics of the area was greatly appreciated.
