Welcome to the end of the world! Hi everyone. I am an experienced professional tour guide in Ushuaia. I have been guiding as a full time job for more than 15 years since I graduated from University and I moved to live here. It is always a pleasure to lead travelers in discovering Tierra del Fuego with its history and natural beauty. I spend most of my time outdoors. Gaston was extremely knowledgeable, and gave a great tour and history of the area. Not his fault at all, but, the entrance fee to the park is pretty pricy for tourists, considering what is available and the amenities/improvements. Still, it's an end of the world tour, and one that cannot be duplicated elsewhere!
Gaston was a fantastic tour guide. Very knowledgeable, experienced and just great to be around. Also the children really liked him. We can highly recommend him and we will definitely book him again when returning to Ushuaia.
Excellent overview of the National Park. Gaston is very knowledgable about geography, flora and fauna and the history of the region as well. His van is roomy and he is a great host for Ushuaia area.
Gaston was a great guide. First of all, our cruise changed our date and time twice because of gale force weather. Gaston knew every step of the way and when the weather cleared, he was instantly there for us. Gaston was wise enough to get us ahead of the crowds and for a short while we had the End of the World all to ourselves. The conversation was great throughout the day. He had a great story to tell. All six members or our group were very happy.
We hired Gaston to show us Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego Park and had a wonderful day. Gaston was knowledgeable about the area, answered all our questions and was very easy to understand. He also was able to plan our tour so that we were ahead of large bus tours and could enjoy the areas in relative quiet. With a smaller vehicle we were able to stop at smaller scenic areas for pictures. Gaston also drove us through several neighborhoods and recommended a good coffee shop in town with yummy scones.
We had an absolutely wonderful day with Gaston. We had six and the vehicle was very nice, clean and comfortable. Gaston met us at our hotel and graciously welcomed us and continued to impress us with his friendly and interactive tour of the beautiful parks, lakes and general area surrounding Ushaia. I would highly recommend Gaston to ensure you get the person and tour you are looking for.
- We will leave the hotel/port and we will drive westward to Tierra del Fuego National Park which is only half an hour from the city. Let Nature dazzle your senses while walking along short trails in the pristine forest. - The order of the itinerary will be flexible to get the best experience for you. We will use the van to connect magnificent places. At Ensenada Zaratiegui we may appreciate a unique primary forest reaching the sea coast. Acigami lake is a gorgeous fresh water mirror. , Lapataia Bay which became internationally famous because of the symbolic end of the Panamerican road visited every year by adventurers travelling from Alaska. - Finally, we will visit Ushuaia's highlights. - Back to the hotel/port The itinerary can be customized according to your preferences and interests.
