Hi I'm Nicolas. I was born in Ushuaia in 1985 and I grew up exploring with my family and friends the wonderful nature of this area in every possible way: hiking, climbing, skiing, sailing, kayaking, camping, etc. I also have been guiding since I'm 17 years old. This is about the same time when I started my guiding studies in the local university (Universidad de Tierra del Fuego). I chose the outdoors guiding as my profession because it is a great pleasure and a real passion for me to be the link between the nature and our visitors. Help others through my knowledge and experience to find themselves closer to the forest, the sea or the mountains is my goal every time I go to work. I'm very passionate as well about people diversity, so I love to customize my tours to better fit the visitor's needs. I you have any particular interest write me. It will be a great pleasure to help you. - University degree as a Tour Guide - Professional guide license (provincial) - Professional tour guide license (national park administration) - Professional canoe guide license (national park administration) - Professional Drivers license - Wilderness First Responder Certified - License of tour operator (in the province and inside the national park) - Port administration credential

During this day you will enjoy a full day of adventure with me while you learn and discover the highlights of Tierra del Fuego National Park. Enjoy 3 hours of hiking and exploration between the Beagle Channel and the Patagonian Subantarctic Forest. Besides being a beautiful walk you will have the chance to learn about the local flora, fauna, geology and much more. The coast of the Beagle Channel is the place where the ancient Yamana Tribe lived and you will have the chance to spot some archeological sites where they used to camp. Recover having a complete and delicious lunch in a geodesic dome. Finally we will paddled downstream a calm river for over 1 hour on an inflatable raft to reach the Beagle Channel and the End of the Panamerican Highway. Getting on the water will give you the chance to get closer to different species of birds like ducks, cormorants, geese, among others. I will adapt the tour to your needs in case you need less activity.
- Meet me at your hotel or by the gangway of your ship. - Head west towards Tierra del Fuego National Park arriving to the Beagle Channel at Zaratiegui Bay after a 30 minutes easy drive. - Start hiking the scenic costera trail which following the coast between the Beagle Channel and the Subantarctic Patagonian Forest connects Zaratiegui and Lapataia Bay. - During this mid dificulty walk (with some uneven terrain) of 7 km lasting around 3 hours learn about the natural history of the southernmost tip of America. - Ending the trail will be time for having a complete lunch with appetizer, main course, desert and wine on a geodesic dome. - Finally embark with me on an inflatable raft to paddle from the Acigami Lake to the Beagle Channel following the Lapataia River for over one hour.
