Hello everyone, My name is Emilio, born and raised on the big island of Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. At the age of 20, I did an exchange program and spent two years living in New Zealand and Australia to improve my English and to enjoy the life of a traveler. When I returned home, I opened a backpacker's hostel in Ushuaia, ran it for 8 years, and in my free time kept traveling, and have been lucky enough to get to know all the continents, including Antarctica. In all my travels, I realized that meeting a local guide, that spoke my language, changed how I experienced and understood each place, so in 2010, I decided to take the tourism guide program at the University of Tierra del Fuego. Since 2015, I have been working as a licensed guide with my own vehicle, and I really enjoy taking tourists to unique places and sharing my knowledge, and walking to show them the natural and historical gems that this city has to offer. I think I understand well how a traveler feels in another city, and this is why I really enjoy being the one who helps them make the most out of every minute of their trip! Ushuaia is an amazing place to explore the natural wonders and surroundings. Join me to enjoy different walks and learn from the environment that surrounds us! - Degree as a Tour Guide (Tierra del Fuego University) - Professional tour guide license (national park administration) - Professional Drivers license - Wilderness First Responder Certified - Professional guide license (provincial) - License of tour operator (in the province and inside the national park) - Port administration credential None

Join me on this magical journey along National Route 3, heading North East, towards the Garibaldi pass. It's a high point with a panoramic view of the Montains, Condors flying on top, and different Tectonic Plates. Trough old road with 4x4 special wheels will make us able to reach the other side of the Andes Mountain range, where we'll discover the impressive views of Lake Escondido and Fagnano. We'll meet with the old and abandoned Petrel inn. I'll share with you the story of this amazing place that I once had the opportunity to visit during a graduation trip back in primary school. We'll see what's left of this now abandoned place. I will also take you to an old estancia, where we will do some trekking and will get to see the great chaos that the local beavers are causing to our island. If we are lucky and quiet enough, we may be lucky enough to spot them in their natural habitat.
