Welcome to Basque Country ! or as we say here, Kaixo !. My name is Asier and I was born in Bilbao, like my parents. I studied in a Basque School (the first right after the Dictator died and education in Basque was allowed again) where I studied Basque, Spanish, English and French. I traveled a lot with my family, especially with my parents and later I continued doing it because is one of my passions that led me to explore half of the world. I love sports as well and in my travels, I have climbed some of the highest mountains in Europe. I would define myself as a cyclist, mountaineer, adventurer, explorer, passionate about history, languages, archeology, and others. I worked as a Polar Guide, as a Cabin Crew, and as a guide in museums and travels in Europe and Asia. There are several important families in Bilbao and Basque Country since at least 500 years ago. The first documented deputy of Bizkaia, one Mayor of Bilbao, the Marquis of the Port, or the President of the Construction Association of Bizkaia (my dad). Hopefully, you will not be bothered if I talk a bit about my family while we walk next to the palaces or parks my dad renovated to modernize the city of Bilbao. I have been a guide in the Maritime Museum of Bilbao and the Athletic Club Museum and a guide in the City of Bilbao, San Sebastian, Basque Country, Santander, or Rioja for a long period. Sometimes I also work as a tour guide abroad in Europe or Asia. In recent times I have created an event company with my wife Laura who is an awarded photographer. I combine the guiding with the events all year round. I have crossed the Black Sea in a Tall Ship Regata against the ships of the Rusian and Rumanian Navys. I also traveled to China doing 4000 km through the wild territories deep into the Gobi Desert and Tibetan Plateau to high mountains. I have climbed to the Crater of the Supervolcano Aso in Japan or crossed Europe by car from Bilbao to the Arctic and backcrossing Sweden and Finland Baltic Republics, Poland, . . . Right before the pandemic, I was working on a Guinness World Record but because of the situation, I stand by this idea although I have to think again about doing it. - I am a Professional Licensed Tour Guide. Born in Bilbao, studied Tourism in Bilbao, in Deusto University. Love sharing my culture which includes to welcome and take care of visitors. - I also got a Master in Business Administration and Master in Economical Profesor. Concerning languages, I have diplomas in Basque, Spanish, English and French. I have knowledge of other languages although I have no Diplomas. - I am mountaineer and cyclist. I have climb some of the highest peaks in Basque Country, Spain, Europe and South Korea. As a cyclist I won the Basque University Championship, some other races, and I was 3rd of Araba Challenge, and 5th of Bizkaia and 5th of Basque Country between other results. None

Asier gave us a wonderful tour of the Guggenheim. He was professional, pleasant and had good knowledge of the exhibits and history of both the museum and artists. His English was also very good. Our group of four had an enjoyable time on this tour.
